Special Advisers And Their Roles In Our Lives....
Riches and affluence bring influence and power; riches and affluence also attract sycophants and hypocrites.
When a man has wealth and power, he may not be really sure who truly loves him, and he may not be really sure whose counsel is candid and honest. All around him may be too many sycophants and hypocrites.
If the man with wealth and power is wise enough, there is a group of people he must never forget. No matter how high you ride and fly, don’t forget ever those who have been part of your life’s story, those whose footprints are indelible in the walkway of your life, those who decided to bleed for you so you could breathe, those who went hungry for you so you could eat, and those who threw it all on the altar of sacrifice so you would be who you are now.
Those are the ones who truly love you. When they counsel or probably rebuke you, they may be doing so in love.
These ones may not be on your payroll, they may not expect freebies from you, and they may never ask you for a hand-out or a leg-up, but they are God’s Special Adviser attached to you. Listen to them.
