The Indiana Tech men's track and field team hit nine NAIA Automatic Qualifying Standards, two school records and three provisional standards at the Hillsdale Classic on Thursday.
Ini-Oluwa Oye paced the Warriors on the track as the freshman set two freshman records and a school record on the day. His first freshman record came in the 100m dash as he finished in 10.57 while also setting a school record in the 200m dash, winning the event in 20.94.
Another school record fell in the 100m dash as Harris Edwards III finished in 10.51, which is also an "A" standard. John Broaden (10.60) also hit an automatic mark whileWayne Sherbahn (10.67) hit the provisional mark.
Trevor Stanley joined Oye in the 200m with a record day as he would have had a school and freshman record had it not been for his teammate as Stanley was second in 21.09.
In the 110m hurdles, Robert Rose recorded a season best time of 14.43, improving his automatic mark while Stanley also improved his time, finishing in 14.51. D'Quan Ruth improved his provisional mark in the 400m hurdles with a 54.20.
In the distance events, Devon Marrow hit the NAIA Automatic Qualifying mark in the 800m, finishing in 1:52.56 while Matt Adair hit the provisional standard in the 1500m with a time of 3:56.48.
