Mercy Johnson #BringBackOurGirls

Sometimes, our realities remind us of the pain of others. My reality as a mother is that I get to see my daughter every day, while the reality of the mothers of the kidnapped 234 Chibok girls is that they don’t even know where their daughters are.

I looked at my daughter and tears came to my eyes that some mothers have the privileges of seeing their kids on a daily basis while the mothers of the kidnapped girls can only console themselves with memories
All well-meaning Nigerians must come together and help these mothers who have been in pain for more than two weeks and make the memory a reality — the reality of seeing their children again.

Let us not for once think that the evil-doers who turn the realities of these mothers to memories cannot do the same to us if they have the opportunities.
This is not a war against select group of people; it is a war against all well-meaning mothers in Nigeria as injustice to one is injustice to all. Let the mothers rise, the men who love them should stand by their right hand and the children who adore them on their left and do all we can in our spheres of influence to ensure that the children come back home safe so that the mothers can smile again.

Can you pray? Increase the tempo of your prayers. Can you fast? Add extra days to it. If what you can do is protest, please do; perhaps you are a soldier and can go to the war front please do not sit still. You are a politician or a voice that Boko Haram can listen to, please speak.

We need the girls back!!! They are innocent, they have their future ahead of them, please do not cut it short. I dare say some of them will end up being the solution we desire to restore the lost and battered glory of this nation. Please don’t kill or damage the future all in the name of militancy.

I appeal to the soldiers and other security operatives, don’t be demoralised, please fight hard, fight more and fight on. Do not let this evil people for once think that they can get away with this. If they ever get away with this, let me assure you that we won’t all be able to sleep with our eyes closed and that includes you, your wives and children. If an Emir can be killed in his palace, who is safe in his or her home? Nobody!
I appeal to the political class and those in power, do not think that any right-thinking Nigerian would allow that this matter be swept under the carpet, this isn’t one of the matters we would keep mum about.

We will continue talking, praying, protesting until you make the matter your matter. If your child were one of the children that was abducted, we would probably have heard of the end of the matter. Let’s not fold our arms and let evil reign.
Nigeria shall be great, only if we do the right thing and the right thing at this moment is to bring our girls back and alive. PUNCH ARTICLE

  1. I watched live as WAEC official indicted Borno State Governor right in front of his wife. Why all these game plans by Borno State Governor? He should clear himself of this grave indictment.WAEC official said the school is not a girl school but a mix school and has over 180 boys writing waec together with girls, while Borno State Governor lied that the school is a girl school.WAEC official said, Federal Govt directed all unity schools in North-East to close down and directed WAEC candidates to go to Maiduguri, a secured zone to write their exams, which WAEC complied but Borno State Governor wrote officially to WAEC to allowed those candidates took their exams in Chibok, that he will provide adequate security for the students. It's high time security agencies interrogate Borno State Governor, because from all indications, he knows whereabout of those students. His wife is the first woman to organized protest in Abuja. What a game plan with human lives? Are they trying to tarnish the image of President Jonathan? Shame on Borno State Governor.A learned woman like Dr. Ezekwesili allowed herself to be used as a leader of protesting team without asking some certain questions. Secrets are gradually exposed.

    1. I said it before and I will continue to say it... There are a lot of discrepancies in this issue. Some pple somewhere are using this as a smoke screen to discredit Jonathan. Borno State Governor and the principal of that school should be held and questioned very well. Thank God Nigerians are thinking now. We can't be fooled for long. I still doubt that there was any kidnap until I see names and pictures. (My opinion o, b4 someone gives me E-slap).

    2. How dull can both of u be? U mean to say a gov will be happy candidates can't write exams in his state? Of course he will want to make it possible.
U want the names n pictures of the girls abi? U must be as dumb as ur crippy name Bekee. So when the names and pictures are published, wat happens to stigmatisation wen the girl's are found? Wat if the are raped n used to satisfy the sexual desire of Dos wicked elements called B/H. Is it ur broda dt will later marry them?
My last question to u scum heads is, are u more intelligent than Ezekwesili?
Our girls were truly adopted una hear. CNN, Aljezeera representatives are here for adequate reports so shut ur gutter. Morons.

    1. Whether the Borno state governor compromised or not, the issue is that there are some girls missing and they should be found. Dr. Ezekwesili did not allow herself to be used. She was only part of the protest asking government to do what is expected of them.don't get it twisted my dear.
