Am sorry if I sound condescending o..but I just don't believe it when people say they can't find job...uncle, what happened to teaching job(primary sch sef), I came out with d best result after sch n I once taught primary sch when I had nothing doing...go to recruitment agencies like halogen, ICSL, VLA, even julius berger recuits people as cleaners in big offices...so, what ar u even saying, I think you are the lazy type if not, u wud have gotten something to do

DeletePoster if you can, learn a skill/craft. Am sure you have at least an Uncle or Aunt who is doing well financially. If they see that you need help with setting up a small biz, they will assist you.
You can try some private nursery school for kindergarten teaching job.

I really understand the frustrations. I'm going through similar circumstances as well.. To even make matters worse, I graduated with a Third Class with no means whatsoever to further my degree. No immediate job is forthcoming. I have applied for jobs, but it seems no one will want to employ a Third Class graduate, even if its working for free. I haven't started life in anyway. I see my mates making waves and I get pained. I just have no choice but to hold on to God.

DeleteI graduated with a 3rd class too, I was not opportuned to go to good primary n secondary school, when I entered d uni I wasn't fitting in cos I cldnt speak or write correct English, in my year 2 I staRted teaching myself English n I drastically improved. Due to circumstances beyond my control I still left with a third class even though am more intelligent dat some ppl dat left with 2:2 I cried my eyes out when I was leaving with a 3rd class. To d glory of God I got a job with it n worked for 5months b4 I got married and my boss asked me to stop dat married women v many wahalas, I left and after reading a story on dis blog I was inspired to learn hw to make cake. And to d glory of God I make wonderful cakes n ppl r patronising me already even though I learnt dis Jan. I am very smart n believe in myself 3rd class is not a limitation the fear of not getting another job partly motivated me to learn hw 2 bake, walai am glad I did cos I now make my money n some ppl with 2:2 n 2:1 r crying of being broken n frustrated. Our actions in school will hunt us in the future,
A Lot of people aren't opportune to have people ring the importance of coming out with a 2.1 or 2.2 whilst in the University. No course advisor, at times students get carried away with school social activities, boy friend = girlfriend, cooking for boyfriends and acting wifey, emotion trauma will not allow people study, strike & so on.
It's unfortunate but it's never too late for those of you still in school, if you have left the path make a U turn now!
Curse me too all you like but you know deep down inside a voice is telling you I speak the truth. I graduated with a 2.1 worked & went on for my MBA in Lancaster business school to make myself sought after. All is by Allah's grace. Don't give up try and improve yourself, the mistake has been made already

Her salary was 20k but she saved and started her pgd. She is almost rounding up! And I guess with a better grade this time. As much as I won't want to judge you... Most people that come out with 3rd class were not very serious with their studies. Bad as e bad you will leave with 2.2. Suicide is not an option @ all. Besides you said you are into graphics and designs if you manage that well you won't be seeking for job eventually. ReplyDeletePoster,check out private schools around you. Most ppeople didn't start out big. We all have our stories. As of 2008,my salary in a private School was 12k truth. My hubby called it my fuel allowance. But whenever I received that salary,I was glad tho the thing no reach wetin person go take do anything. Start somewhere n see other opportunities. Bless you.
