DeleteIt's 4:12am, and I truly can't seem to get my mind off the 230 missing Chibok girls, the facts truly send shivers down my spine; 1. Till date the Government and media are yet to release images of the missing ladies , how can we possibly search for faceless girls. 2. Rumour has it that the girls have been married of to neighbouring African countries at the cost of N2000 (the cost of 20 litres of Petrol in Nigeria). If truly they have been sold off wherein lies our hope? 3. It's truly apparent that technically the search is futile as the faces are still unknown,no member of a prominent Individual's home was abducted, the abductors as well aren't certain, their location and intent as well. 4. Nigeria is one of the few countries that even after the sprouting of NGO's for different causes, protests, media rants, viral broadcasts, nothing really does happen, how dare you try abducting 200+ girls in another country? without considering the repercussions. 5. Thinking of the families of the missing girls, the pain, the uncertainty, feeling of being, cheated, abandoned, their tears, prayers and hope. 6. An average Nigerian is so unaware of their rights, how can we then fight for what we know not. 7. The solution to said crisis that plagues Nigeria lies within the crisis it self. 8. When I think of my home, A country where consequences don't exist for offenders, certain high ranking people are above the law, the men charged with ensuring that we are safe are the same ones using people as shields in time of crisis and target practice on a regular day. A place where almost any conceivable kind of crime can be perpetrated and it's us chucked off as one of those things. 9. Life ought to be lived like each moment is truly your last. 10. In less than a week over 310 homes have been affected by the Nyanya bombing crisis and the abductions, sadly these are the few we do know about, think about what could happen 2 weeks, 1 month , 6 months, a year , how many would remain ?
ReplyDelete11. What do we tell our generation? Our cousins, nieces, nephews, children..that they should have faith, remain hopeful, honest, live right? Sigh...
All these Naija celebs should go and sit down! Fucked up people, are they just realizing the girls are missing? They're all tweeting now cos Keri Hilson, Uncle Rush, Chris Brown and some other foreign stars are talking about it! The mother of the nation has not said anything or join a protest,Dr Okonji Nweala,Mrs Deziani and many other woman in power need to lend their voice out; please bring back our girls.
ReplyDeleteTo think if it that some Nigerians( wrote comments that the story is fake and APC is using it to distabilize GEJ's govt) and are trying to dissuad non Nigerians who were commenting on the issue in Russel Simmon's fb page from getting interested in the cry for help of the missing girls.
DeleteIs life this cruel?? Is our government that ineffective?? How come nothing has been said or any positive action taken?? God pls dry the tears from the family and relatives of the abducted girls, give them hope, this is the point we need a miracle cos every plea soo far that has been given to the government doesn't seem to bear any positive outcome..Lord please!!! #our hope and trust are with u

ReplyDeletewe should be careful to avoid the politicians using us to topple GEJ in error. these girls where said to have escaped, all of a sudden the story changed fro the principal. we were later told some escaped twice, where are they now? we were later told they were ferried off Niger what did the eye witnesses do? let us not be like Egyptians who toppled Mubarak in error

ReplyDeletePLease dear God. hear our prayers.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to the abducted girls (I'm still keeping options open sef). BUT, Please, don't crucify me for saying this. I'd rather tweet about the missing malaysian aeroplane than tweet about 'this issue'. My reason is simple---I don't, and will never trust my government.
ReplyDeleteGoodluck Nigerians!
God help those girls #bringbackourgirls# #bringbackourdaughtersndsisters#
