Riot In Oko Community In Anambra State

According to the gist filed in by olofofos to my email....''The Igwe of Oko town Prof Laz
Ekwueme ordered soldiers today to stop the people of Oko from celebrating their festival due to the problem their masquerades always caused..In 2012 their masquerades robbed students of Federal Polytechnic Oko,and properties were destroyed even one student died. All of these made Igwe Prof Laz Ekwueme to call in the  army for this years celebration which took place today but unfortunately the army killed one of the masquerades. Now the youth have taken over the streets destroying properties''

*WHY DO NIGERIANS ALWAYS RESORT TO VIOLENCE?I DONT UNDERSTAND!!!!

  1. But it was a masquerade that was 'killed'. Masquerades r spirits. And come out of ant holes. How do you kill a spirit that's not even human.... going by d belief. And they r rioting for d spirit? Haba. They should stick to a story.
Nigerians and killing sha. They should curtail d way these officials kill all over d place and get away with it.
Why do they have to resort to violence? What us wrong with everyone.
RIP masquerade. You for use odeshi na. Wonder who will tell d family that their son was wearing raffia

Small minds. Sure they're all this village illiterates.
The person their masquerade killed doesn't matter, now innocent people have to suffer for their ignorance.
Why didn't they burn the military car or even the Igwe's house.
    Che fatto

Why are you so stupid and foolish? Why must you bring yoruba into this? Why must it always ball down to tribes? There is no difference between you and these illiterate touts rioting. You're just as unexposed and uneducated as they are. You're the biggest fool on this blog. Education isn't only gotten from schools. Pls go and get enlightened. Stupid ass razz goat. People like you are the ones dragging us back in this country, being so tribalist and failing to see every human as one. When you get to heaven go and form a queue for ibos only. And this is for all the small minded idiots on this blog that make everything about tribes. What the fuck! You guys should get a fucking life. Bloody assholes!

  9. Smh! Nigerian youth lacks priority. Instead of them to use this energy to fight corruption and the government, they are busy fighting over masquerades.

  17. Masquerade dies? Thought theyare spirits? And when they kill innocent people they are exonerated because they are spirits, So during his burial what will be the cause of the death? Abi they wont do orbituary for him? eople wont give their lives to Christ and receive eternal life instead they are parading automatic ticket to hell. Imagine dying while in masquerade attire. I wonder what the dead guy would have told God in answer to his judgement. What a way to die, in masquerade's attire... Its indeed a pity
