President Jonathan Tells Boko Haram “YOU WILL PAY”

President Goodluck Jonathan for once jettisoned his cool mien and wore a tough toga as he promised that his government will make sure Boko Haram insurgents pay dearly for all the lives they have taken.
Speaking at the 4th Annual Presidential Breakfast Parayer held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Asokoro, Abuja.

The President stated '' no matter what the government does, we cannot recover the dead but one thing we promise is that all those who took part in that act will surely pay for it. We must all come together and have faith to combat the ignorance and intolerance of criminals”

He went further to reveal that one of the reasons for this edition of the event was to pray specially for the victims of the killings and their families.

According to the President, Nigerians’ love for their country gives him hope and encouragement to do more for the good of Nigeria. “I urge you not to relent in your prayers and dedication because overcoming the present challenges we face may look impossible with men but with God, all things are possible. This is clearly seen in the scriptures and this is my article of faith. And, of course, this is one of the things that make me smile whenever you see me.”

He was optimistic that Nigeria will overcome terrorism and “with these strides of development which the country is undergoing in many sectors, we will not be slowed down”.
Again, he urged Nigerians to be vigilant and cooperate with the securities who have been given the mandate to stem this security challenge.

One of the guests at the event, President Yayi Boni of Benin Republic prayed that God should forgive those who abducted the Chibok School Girls, stating that he was in Nigeria to give moral support to President Jonathan and the Nigerian people.

While insisting that West Africa and Africa stands by Nigeria in these times, he said Nigerians should not allow this issue to derail its divine mission in the sub-region and the continent. ...culled

    3. Why do most Nigerians derive joy in blaming nd frustrating Gej and saying we want action,we need positive answers, fight boko haram, kill them, chase them, this, this and that.reason for a minute;GEJ is human and not a super-human..ask urselfs these question,if u were the president what would you ve done to stop the issue of boko haram?? I don't mean any form of insult to anyone but just answer the question in a matured way as to what u would ve done to stop the issue of boko haram in Nigeria if u were in d shoes of GEJ?? I believe if we all can map out different strategies as to how to stop BH;at least the presisent has media aides and they may stumble upon one or two of our suggestions and adopt it..and who knows what is next?? BH might end..soo let's just reason well and drop suggestions than keep complaining and blaming the govt..remember na the same head we and the govt get soo

  17. You know we all know that the president can do this alone. But common will u forever wait for the northern elders decision? How are we sure they are not part of the sponsores, they are even scared of talking against boko haram. Worst of all how can these girls be emmigrated from Nigeria in buses without the security doing anything? Or do we have 10 security men at the border. Another question is ... Do we have security men in nigeria or do we have armed men? I don't understand. How can u make plans to go and rescue these girls and announce your plans to the whole world. When the US army wanted to get Osama did they announce it to the world or did they surprised the terrorist. In our own case, our ' incapable , incompetent millitary' announce their coming to rescue the girls. Did they annouce their actions for nigerians to pray for them or for the Boko Harram to prepare and welcome them. Habbaaaa is there hope for Nigeria.?

  23. Talk is cheap.. All these while, they made us believe they don't know where the biko haram members are camping, yet civilians where able to trace it and even the military men retreated, that shows they know where they stayed all along and also use them... Because I don't get why they have equipped the military since to go into face to face battle with them ...

To say I am disappointed is the least...

  27. Please to all those that are saying Jonathan is not to blame. How can Nigeria ever move forward if there is no accountability? How can the one person in charge of all Nigerians be given a pass for whatever reason you deem fit.

Any honorable person who knows they are not up to the task would have resigned a long time ago. But not Nigerian politicians, they clamor onto power as if it is their birthright or it would lead them to heaven.

  28. GEJ....enough of dis ur talk jare,,,less talk and more action is all we request..
