‘As far as we're concerned, and based on the investigations carried out so far on the matter, most of the allegations by Obesere's accuser, Olanike Olaiya were fabricated. Although, they both admitted having canal knowledge of each other, there was absolutely nothing to show that Nike was raped as she claimed. It was a frame -up because the lady has refused to honour police invitation. And the doctor's report available to us has shown that she was not raped. We're made to understand that this lady on her own went to Obesere's house in search of Obesere, that she spent the nights there. She was there cooking and everybody in the house ate. People in that house have equally made statements. I think there was a mutual relationship between the two of them. Nike is a 29 year old lady, a divorcee. I think during the period she was in the house, they had canal knowledge of each other, and she left him after which she went to the station to allege that she was raped. I think there was a case of mutual relationship between both parties as well as extortion attempt’’.
"Before she went to make such allegations, she had already contacted Obesere on phone to demand certain amount that she was bleeding and so on. Obesere now invited her to a hospital. The doctor examined her and he didn't see anything abnormal. And they said for further clarification, she should go for scan. She left and never returned to the hospital."
But investigation is still in progress. Police would not rest until we get to the root of the matter and we will make the outcome known to the public.
Reacting on the development added '' I thank God I have been vindicated by the outcome of the investigations so far conducted by the police. What's next is to enter the studio for my next album. I thank God and that people have identified with me so far. I am very sure the police will soon get to the root of the matter."
On details of his new album,he say ''It's about the incident .But I am yet to decide on its title. My thoughts too, Nigerian police us the reason why rape victims don't 'come forth'. The insult and stigmatise them in the station already before the world does. So because she went to his house willingly and that means she couldn't have been raped? Be gore na for road. Some young girls get lured to the homes of rapists too, it isn't written on the fore head. Now after the police have successfully carried out their investigations, then they pass it to the court. The police has the right to leave a case open if during the course of investigating a crime, evidences go missing or the complainant opts out unequivocally. This is not a case of the state versus the defendant. And being a supposed rape case the evidences have to be overwhelming. No one goes to court on the basis of sentiments, otherwise courts would be flooded with nonsensical cases that shouldn't have gone past the police station. In this case the plaintiff is missing, so the case has to be left open. Means that she still has the right in future to start up her case again. Please educate yourself and stop being bias.

1.The victim going straight 1st to the Police station to report immediately after d rape without bathing or removing any torn clothes.
2. the police would take her straight to d hospital where she would be medically examined.
3. the medical report is a very vital piece in determining rape.
In the present case, there had been previous mutually consented sexual intercourse.Again on d day in question both parties are not in a quarrelsome mode as to suggest a fight which might have led to a forceful penetration.
The Police would do well to further enlighten us on the above.

DeleteAbsolutely. But none of the points you stated were met by the accused. According to the report, she went to the police to report rape about 5days after she left the accused persons house.
DeleteBut before that, the complainant informed the accused that she was bleeding. And the accused agreed to take her to the hospital, which they did. After which it was reported that she failed to return for proper scanning etc, to determine why she was bleeding. This was the last she communicated with the accused before she made a formal report.
Left for me, she informed him of her bleeding like a girlfriend would inform her bf, perhaps after having rigorous sex. But not as one who was raped by him.
From all indication, the complainant and the accused had a cordial relationship even after the supposed rape. Which can be clearly ascertained because she agreed to go to the hospital with him, which they did. On the said rape day, they had no quarrels at all. Which makes me wonder why one who was raped will call the 'rapist' to inform him that she was bleeding, instead of reporting to the police.
This case is without substance am sorry.
