Nollywood Actor Chris Nkulor Dies From Kidney Ailment.

I heard of his condition early last month and did a post here soliciting for funds on his behalf but help didnt come at all and sadly Chris has succumbed to his ailment.

All he needed was a sum between N3-6million for an operation at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching hospital Ile-Ife Nigeria but the money was not realise even though most of his colleagues help spread the SOS on the social media.

I guess the Actors Guild of Nigeria is yet to map out a plan to help its members in need?

I am really sad that Nollywood as a body cannot help themselves when the need arises.

RIP Chris Nkulor!

  1. They'd rather show us shopping pictures and vac pics than help their colleagues. RIP Chris.

    2. I usually hate it when an individual is blamed for a person's demise. Because I take it as destiny no matter what. But in this man's case I think I'll join everyone else to castigate the AGN.

What do they really stand for? Its so sad and unfortunate that this small amount can be found wanting amongst the group of so called celebs. Ibinabo is an AGN selfish whore. All she's interested in is to garner attention for herself, and that's it. Now I have to agree with that woman who kept sending her a public memo. Can't remember her name now. Haba, this man's solicitation for funds wasn't properly publicised Stella. I remember you reported it vaguely, u even tried...some other bloggers didn't publish it because he's not one of the most sought after actors today. Which I think is the reason he was ignored. God forbid, if it was RMD, Jim or one of the other vibrant actors, all of them will eye service and raise funds for them. They'll start to visit and snap fotos.

We all saw how OJB's fund raising was done in Nigeria. Until a gov came to his rescue and most of the celebs that donated. Even ordinary Nigerians contributed. Its really sad. Now the money they didn't give him to live will be used to bury him. We haven't heard of Pa Kasumu lately too. Well at least I think Fashola sorted him out. RIP to the dead.

    3. Rest in peace.

Ministry of Health needs to start investigating the recent surge in kidney diseases in Nigerians.

Is it our water, fertilized food , alcoholic beverages or medicines.

Too many Nigerians are dying from Kidney ailments. Too many.

  23. Sheu they can all see their lives outside? When bankers get into shit their colleagues run around to help same with all other professions, but actors..... No way, ex convict Ibinabo is frolicking around clueless president Dumbo, what is the essence of the solidarity march to aso rock if one of them can still die like a chicken cos of 5M. Chika Ike is parading 'my pussy don catch fire to buy bags and shoes' on IG... Geneivive same, mercy johnson all of them. 100k in 30 places would have solve this guys problem but where r his colleagues? There is no love in the heart of nollywood, just fake arse people. And na turn by turn. We r watching y'all.

  26. Never live life in the hope of people you have around you. The only person you should look up to is God Almighty. Beg God to help you instead of begging humans. They can fail and even work Inn conjunction with the devil. But God never fails. RIP.

  27. RIP Chris. This is sad. AGN should as a matter of necessity set up a welfare package for its members. Too many of them have died needlessly. These are people who have brought laughter to many!
These young actors should learn from all that has happened in the last few years and begin to invest in their futures rather than just living for the now!

  28. Lol @ Ibinado. Oya, Ibinado over to you. Who is the one that didn't know Ibinado? She must have come from the bush or didn't grow up in a city. But you people are wrong, Chris Nkulor is Igbo and wouldn't get much help from his own. They are busy in Dubai shopping designers and saving for their own time. Na turn by turn na. I reiterate that Nollywood artists should be mindful of their lifestyle - drinking alcohol and promiscuity/antibiotics ain't good to the kidney.

  29. This will serve as a lesson to us who still have breath, "Go for medical checks regularly", most of these ailments are treatable in their early stages. Judging from the last post on Mr. Nkulor, one would see that the ailment had taken its toll on him, if only he acted promptly. May the good Lord accept his soul.

  30. Don't mind Nollywood.. All they seek for is political roles from Mr President. They aren't united as a body. Doubt if they even have a roll call of their members. You see why people create their own factions. Every Nigerian should make sure he/she has a sustainable means of income and save for the rainy day because in Nigeria, no one gives a fuck about you if you have nothing to offer in return. That's the African mentality. Don't depend on no soul to help you, cuz u'll just be disappointed.

  34. Something is not right in Naija. Too many people with Kidney problems. There is something wrong. Either the alcohol being sold has issues such as being fake, I see no other reasons for the high increase in this ailment.

  35. sad he is dead and may his soul RIP.....but all you idiots here calling names and blaming those who spend their money on themselves, did the dead help them make their money? your only source of help is God and he will use those he wants to help to fulfil his purpose......all u hypocrites here yarning rubbish, how many of u here have given out money to anyone in need today? how many of u gave out to the needy this easter period? how many of u here have paid fees for anyone other than ur immediate family member?....this insulting others should stop.....if u know anyone he helped while alive who did not help him them insult that person......we should be humane and help those in need but u lot here cant keep insulting people for spending their money how they like.....

    ReplyDelete
  36. how many of you loud mouthed idiots here blaming others contributed a dime to this guy, yet u come here to open your stupid mouths......it is their money and they can spend it how they like.....while we expect people to help others, if they dont u have no right to insult them cos its their money

  37. Of course Ibinano does not even think right, all she knows is how to destroy peoples homes, pimping for peoples husbands, importing the likes of Amber Rose just to pimp her for the sponsor of her programme last year. It's a pity the number of people cursing you Ibinabo, i honestly pity your daughter cos you must be alive and watch her pay for all the harms you've caused others.

  38. Nigerians sha , wet in concern ibinabo in the death of chris, human being instead of praying for the repose of the soul you are busy castigating your fellow being. All the app rooks talkatives how much do you donate for the poor boy wen alive. Rest in peace Jared my brother na so life be o.
