Easter Greetings From Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Nigeria's current political and security situation is salvageable if leaders at all levels shed their egos, forgo their selfishness and renew their commitment to the people who elected them. Former governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu made this call in his Easter message to Nigerians.

"As we remember the death of Jesus and celebrate His resurrection, we must never forget that if not for the sacrifice He made for all, there could never have been a celebration and hope for a better future. Such is the message of Easter to all our leaders to make the sacrifices necessary so that our country will be better."

Former Governor Tinubu while wishing all Christians a happy and wonderful Easter called on them to remain fervent in prayers for Nigeria so that God will turn the country's fortune around. According to the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, the  Nigeria of today is not exactly the kind of Nigeria our founding fathers envisioned. "Given our  abundant natural resources and human capacity, Nigeria has no business with poverty, insecurity and massive unemployment. We must all pray that God will provide Nigeria with leaders who are God-fearing and with the vision and will to embark on the kind of change the country needs," he said.

Tinubu also added that the menace and atrocities of terrorists in Nigeria must be curbed and urgently too.

"Let all men of goodwill,  irrespective of party, religion or creed come together to find a solution to this unending and unconscionable killings and shedding of blood. We can not continue to  dance on the graves of our dead children and compatriots and claim that we were elected to lead them. We lose our credibility and legitimacy if we dilly dally in our collective response to the near genocide taking place in our country. Nigerians deserve better. They deserve peace. They deserve a government that can apply itself to the task at hand.

"I join other leaders and Nigerians who are committed to the search for solutions to our problems and who seek a non-partisan approach to solving problems that affects our fate as a people. May the spirit of Easter nudge us all in that direction of selflessness and service to our motherland."

  8. Ignorance is a disease. If Tinubu was a thief he will put anoda thief in d affairs of lagos state alas he brought a fashola to continue d good work he started based on the institutional framework setup by d late Dr.Nurudeen Olowopopo n co. Ignorantly if u hold any political office in naija u r automatically a thief. I wept for our level of ignorance. D oracle have spoken.on your mandate Bola.

  10. You people curse and insult all these men and u say you want change? I sorry for u oh, they've got nuffin to loose my darlings, fat bank accounts, luxury life, and it's the same way you are cursing them, is the same way people are praying for them cos they benefit from them, and like they say God answers all prayers both the good and bad, and that's what makes life, so the earlier you appreciate what you have the better, and I would say this man right here Asiwaju is a man of the people go and find out what he's doing for those in need, then you would understand, u dont know jack go figure.

  14. It's irrelevant what you people think, this man has done a lot for Lagos state and Nigeria. He has a legit business just like ex leaders around the world. Is it now a crime to do business with govt after leaving office. What I need to hear and I have not heard is that he stole money like Jonathan and his people are doing now.
