She posted this on her original facebook account today....everyone is reacting differently, this is her own way and i understand perfectly well.
Modupe says
''I am sick of this fu*k**g "Nigerian" attitude! As much as I am down for this match today.. honestly? Isn't this tears after the funeral?!?
Why wasn't this organised immediately 200+ teenage girls were abducted? When was that...2 weeks ago?
I was in America when it occurred and was monitoring the news closely..nothing major was done! Just the usual "Nigerian noise". Nothing more.
Now, it's been revealed by concerned Senators that the girls have been married off to the kidnappers...aka killers...and relocated to Chad, Niger and Cameroon...it's now, people are going to match to the Senate?!?!?!
To what purpose? What aim?
The Nigerian Army couldn't rescue them when they were still in Nigeria; is it now that they have been raped, legally disvirgined as "wives" and relocate out of Nigeria??!?!
No problem, I will play my part today and be at the walk. Will even close my office and order all my staff to participate. We will bring cold water for people to drink. We will all rave and rant....after all, isn't that what we Nigerians know how to do?
After that, we will all go back to the comforts of our air conditioned homes, our conscience at peace, after all, we matched and "thank God those poor innocent girls aren't our children!"
Sigh!! God help us all''.
Isn't it a pity that over 200 teenage girls were abducted in broad day light in Nigeria and are yet to be found? how could they have conveyed and hidden so many of them without leaving any trail?
We are all upset
ReplyDeleteI am 'MOST' upset, so annoying, stella I am taking this VERY personal, I can only imagine what their parents are going thru :( why is Nigeria a lawless country? Very unfair I must say, I get what MODUPE is saying, so pls can she tell us the way 4ward since she is not in support of this
DeleteNne tell them!
ReplyDeletePepper ose oku!
Actually, she is vert coeewct.
DeleteI sorry for this country
ReplyDeleteYour comment will be visible after approval
This is heart breaking, God please intervene.
ReplyDeleteModupe, take several seats. Would you rather the match not take place at all. The Nigerian government is doing nothing about the missing kids, it's masses like you and I on social media that have cried out to the world.
ReplyDeleteDo your part and bury the criticism. All hands must be on deck to find the girls.
But ur still ranting.As usual.
DeleteShut up plss... she just made a clear point.
DeleteJonathan and his colleagues are gambling with our lives.
While I do not have a specific view on all this noise, I would rather point out its MARCH and not MATCH.
Deletewhat makes these girls different from the others that were killed in their dormitory?
FEC meeting was canceled because Sambo's brother died???? Hmmmmm.
Its time we look at ourselves as a people and ask why we allow these hoodlums to rule our country.
Agwoturumbe has spoken
It is very convenient for you to blame the Government, but some people amongst us harboured these criminals and still hold back critical information that could aid their rescue.I read someone's friend called him yo inform him that he had received his own share of the loot.are these not Nigerians? So government must become spirits to find them, have you ever gone abroad and wander for a second without having the security on your case? how do you think they get the information? people in the neighbourhood call them with these info.
DeleteHere it is convenient to blame gov for all our woes when we do nothing to help our fatherland.
The BOG QUESTION to you is giving this scenario, what will you do if you were the President???
Enter the forest? Will you do more than allowing the security personnel to do thier job?.
The worst war yo fight is a faceless enemy, accommodated by the people that you call followers, how do you fight this alone?how London did it take USA to find Osama?
Goldscent pls talk several seats urself cos u need them more. She is reffering to people in authority n not fellow masses.
DeleteDr Agwoturumbe! Agwoturumbe, mbe goes hiding! Nwoke gbaragba! Chocolate nwoke! One guy that walks by onu a agbaji girls! Linda Eze spec☆☆☆!!!
DeleteSweetest pussy's dream! The only guy that walks by the likes of M-amie genuflects! Nwoke bu cash!!!!! Prince nwoke! Agwoturumbe the Boss!!! The only guy with 12 packs! Je ma!
Pepper ose oku the richest!
God help us
ReplyDeleteBeing upset is simple not enough. I agree with her, no matter what happens Nigerians will rant and within days we go back to normal. Sadly these terrorists know about this so they continue to terrorize the nation.
ReplyDelete*simply
DeleteThis is so true of Nigerian attitude. Hope it's not too late for the girls. They should sign a treaty with d usa and get help. Invade boko harem now. 2moro would be 1000 gals. I remember d stories of the corpers that went missing. Boko harem is getting bolder by the day. Its now or never. Jonathan stand up and fight. All your advisors are all members of boko harem. Start with them.
ReplyDeleteJonathan stand up and fight ?
DeleteHe dosen't want to get involved in anything that will get in the way of his 2015 election.
He is more willing to fight for 2015 that the poor girls.
i'm furious too. Giant of Africa my flat behind. Soon they'll send off troops to maintain peace in some war torn african countries when they can't do sh*t in their home stead. #FAILEDADMINISTRATION
ReplyDeletewhen will this change we have been hearing since i was a kid finally come to reality???
ReplyDeleteThis country is really a joke, not even 5 teenagers bt 200 nd they couldn't find a trail....#Nigeria smh
ReplyDeleteExactly modupe..the deed was long done and nothing was done..if trully the girls are no longer in nigeria;how then are they going to search for them when they are off the country?? I really pity the family of the girls..its just too sad
ReplyDeleteModupe we are all upset about it. You what have you done? It is easy to criticise, i will like to know what you are doing about it on your own? The number one thing we must all do is to unit against this beasts, let's stop blaming one another. We must speak with one voice. thank God for social networks, it give's voice to the voiceless.
ReplyDeleteGo n sit down abeg n stop misunderstanding her! She is saying d truth. D children shld have been rescued immediately ds thing happened, since it has been dragged on, those kids might indeed have been taken away from d shores of Nigeria. Are u telling me that if Sambo 's child or anyone in authority child was among d girls taken away, d bastards won't have been hunted down by now? D govt, army n those u re sopose to secure d safety of ds children is not doing anything, they are just treating ds matter with kidgloves cos there biologically children are not among those girls. So pls take several seats abeg, Modupe is so spot on. She is contributing her bit in d walk 4 d kids, what are u doing about it in ur own little way, no matter how small? Have u said even a word of prayer 4 those girls today? Pls be sincere.
DeleteNigerians are a bunch of spineless hypocrites, every last bit of us. We seem to have adopted, siddon look, "God dey" attitude without any action. Every one of us go pray pray tire, yet nothing dey happen, we are a country of millions, so far we have all been praying, nothing seems to be happening, we need a radical approach to these idiots who can go an adopt kids and marry them off. How do the media know they have been married off? are they not getting their intelligence from someone? Do the government not know who these someone is? why can't our sensible government employ these people as spies and get more intelligence information from them. Rather than spending our money on lavish weddings and cars, why can't the government work for the people who actually voted them into power. our attitudde always is, "hey God, i cover my family with the blood of jesus" forgetting that these other people have families and if this is not changed it could very well be one of our family members one day or even us. We should learn to stop this our siddon look, pray attitude and be more radical in our actions. This is never going to change if we keep sitting down and praying. I am yet to see anywhere where God came down from heaven and physically fought anyones battle for them. We need change and only us can make change and enforce change.
ReplyDeleteAnon 11:39AM, u re equally spineless o, very spineless @that. When u re ranting, what are u doing about this too? Its nt only to cuss out n shout spineless! Where are u located n how have u planned to get into sambisa forest to rescue those girls. Blame it on d sad situation of d country. D best u n I can do is to call out d govt on social media, we have to keep talking. I'm also joining d walk by d women, cos it could have been my own daughter. I'm in black today on d match ground already not because I know anyone whose child was taking but because am grieved n feel troubled about d situation of things in d country. Innocent citizens were prepard to go into sambisa forest days ago, but de were duely warned of d dangers that lies ahead. What can mere Nigerian citizens do? D soldiers are sopose to go in there n rescue those girls, they were trained 4 this. Cuss out on people in authority, cuss out to corrupt army officials in d helms of affairs, not cuss out on a Nigerian without anything to protect themselves. If it's easy to go n meet d people holding ds children captive, u can pls get ur ass out of ur bed n come on to sambisa forest, indeed d place is LIVE here in Borno.
DeleteNo! you should take several seats because Modupe is very right.
ReplyDeleteAn incident occurred and the federal government acts like nothing happened just general noise and that's it.
even if you and I cry on social media, is it going to bring the girls back from wherever they have ferried them to?
immediately the news broke, something could have been done to rescue them. But No! just a mere speech to condemn the act. namsense.
I hate it when people begin to act like "the time to fight is now" when the deed was long done and apparently "now" is a bit too late to cry when the head is off.
if the abducted kids where those of men and women in power, are you saying this is how the case would have been handled? or they would have long carried out measures for effective release of the poor helpless children.
mtchewwww! fucked up country!
I have asked this question :-
DeleteHow come till now, we have not seen a list of names of the girls abducted?
Were they ghosts?
Since they were in school for WAEC for which they had taken passport photographs, shouldn't there be a release of names AND photographs?
What's the exact number of girls abducted?
This Sambisa forest, isn't it within the geographical entity called Nigeria? How come it 'seems' forbidden to The Nigerian Army?
If this forest exists and is actually a BH camp, why hasn't the security Council taken the decision to invade it yet?
Pls someone should give an answer to these questions...it will at least make us feel like they have a clue what they r doing
I read a detailed description on how the girls were conveyed and how the villagers even reported to the military when they saw a large number of girls being transported in a lorry then canoe across Chad, yet nothing was done... Modupe isn't far from the truth.

She is damn RIGHT!!!!!!.....this outcry should have started Immediately d abduction took place. We shud have marched out in all cities, offices closed by force. Black days declared.( I follow for this blame). 200 lil girls is not 200 chickens. People will use dis march to assuge their conscience and go bak to their normal biznesses.it is not just ok for justice to be done, it needs to be seen done!!!
ReplyDeleteI really need answers to this questions and i believe we nigerians should be asking our FG, borno state governor/officials, principal of the school and the military. 234 girls abducted from a skol hostel, now did d boko haram members kill any teacher/school officials during this raid? kill any security officers within the school? how come only abt 20 mothers were protesting instead of @ least 180 women which will make the world feel thr pains if our govt is not serz enough to handle the situation. Our media sud interview all the missing children parents along with the ones that escaped and air it. Lastly the skol sud release the names and complete details of all missing girls including thr photographs which dey can get from thr parents. Insult me if you like but we need proof dat this number of kids are missing before we criticise our security agencies and govt.
ReplyDeleteAnon 12:23 PM, u re damn ignorant! I'm lost 4 word to say to u. Only about 20 mothers????? And u re sure u have been following ds matter? I can't waste my spittle on u!!
DeleteAny further!!
DeleteI agree with you 100%. What effort did the state governor make to ensure the safety of the girls in the first instance? Considering the unsafe nature of the northern states? Nigerians need to start thinking right and not move with the crowd or get carried away easily, why are these things happenning now, how come everyone blames Jonathan for all their mistakes? These so called northerners have been handling the affairs of Nigeria for so long yet their people are the least educated and socially bankrupt. They even force some of them to go to school with money bribes. They reject modern treatment hence the high rate of polio in their region....they are so lazy some of them are proffessional beggers. The so called elite amongst them take advantage of this because they enjoy being treated as demi gods. If this boko haram nonsense is not for the purpose of making Nigeria ungovernable I do not see the reason why people like buhari and co have not made a single effort to tackle the problem. Instead they are quick to criticise Jonathan if their people are killed right in their backyard! Enough is enough! Nigerians! We need to think! We need to look at issues properly!!!
DeleteAnon 12:23pm,dis ur post is meaning' what?dat d no of gals lost isn't that much?ok so,fine let's assume only 20 gals were kidnapped, are they still not worth the tears and ranting?dont talk carelessly abt things bcos u and urs are not directly involved,God dey o and he's watching!#thisisyourlastwarning#
Delete"I sorry sorry ooooo, I sorry for Nigeria. I sorry sorry ooooo, I sorry for Africa". Those are the lyrics to one of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti's songs which best descibes the quagmire this country is in at the moment. God Almighty please intervene.
ReplyDeleteLet me tell nigerian what will bring Des little angels back to us,
ReplyDelete1 men joining in d march, n not just marching, but carrying leaves, n chanting war songs,
2 civil, public n private servants refusing to go to work till Dos girls are found,
3 every single business area n activity being shot down, so dat govt can be shut down,
4 a mass riot and peaceless protest.
Tust me if Des things are done by nigerian, d govt will know we are serios. Remember wen d subsidy issh happened, govt was shut down for like 3days or more, dat is what we shld do. Drastic times deserves drastic measures, if we keep keeping quiet, very soon, boko haram won't only be a northern issue, it will be a nigerian issue. Nigerian masses, let stand up n fight, sometimes blood has to be shed for peace to reign. Let us stand up now n fight. If we kp quiet, one day pple in aba, owerri, lagos, ph, n co will get up n realize dat 1000 girls have gone missing. I say it now, let us satnd up n take action. As for me, I'm very ready. Enough is Enough!
Modupe Oyinbo , Pls the word is "march" as in walking not "match" as in football match. We are marching to the National Assembly in protest. Mind your spellings pls!!!

DeleteMcfreezy no na d only thing wen u see talk 4 ds matter be this? U need to get ur brain washed n properly fixed back. Imagine u that is correcting someone? She is so RIGHT, as in using d word MATCH. What is MARCHING? U re indeed dumb.
DeleteAturu but u got d message? Ewu
DeleteSo do u have to make the same comment 100times because u want to correct her? Get the message and ignore the error u idiot. I just hate people like you, always looking for someone's mistake. Mtchwww
DeleteBtw, where your grammar don take you reach? Ode
It's so unfortunate! I feel very sad and I pity d girls who av been forced against their wish... it's really a very sad and pitiable situation...
ReplyDeleteJust could ve been any1 ' s child, dota, sister or niece.God help us all.....
ReplyDeleteshe don hear nowww....Mcfrezzy corrector!
ReplyDeleteAnd you had to post it 4 times?? Please disappear if you have nothing meaningful to contribute and stop trivaializing issues.
ReplyDeleteToo bad
ReplyDeleteStupid county! No patriotism...we don't care about each other! Every man for himself. Stupid way of life. That's why we dont progress.
ReplyDeleteMatch, march, mash, d message was clear. I don't think spellings matter 2 those kidnapped kids or their families @ dis point in tym. She spoke abi wrote well.
ReplyDeleteOh shut up, Bloglord.
ReplyDeleteWhat have you and your Modupe done so far concerning the plight of the missing girls?
Who are the Nigerians being referred to? Those twitter agitators, marchers, rabble rousers on social media are ordinary citizens like you. They are not paid a salary by Nigerians. Do your part and stop expecting some perceived freedom fighters to always fight our collective battles.
It's because of some people's efforts on twitter that the international community became aware of the missing girls' case. That's why the Nigerian government is presently pretending to take any notice. Same twitter efforts called attention to the case of the Boko Haram/SSS tweeter and ensured his safety.
234 young girls disappear just like that!!
ReplyDeleteWhat I find very disturbing about all this drama is how these girls were ferried from Nigeria to other countries without been noticed, what happened to the police/army at check points?
ReplyDeleteThat's just it! People saw the girls being transported, reported to the security agents and they were told to put it in writing. Doesn't it make you wonder if these so called security agents and leaders in those areas aren't part of the Boko haram?!!
DeleteI bet the customs or immigration officers will have collected their own egunje and even escorted them to the border!
Delete@QB escorted and even wished safe journey. Hiss. I can just see it in my mind's eye.
DeleteHow did the concerned senators know that the girls have been married off in the first place? if it is true, then some people have an idea where the girls were kept. I don't even understand this country
ReplyDeleteI feel for the mothers of those girls..., can we all raise our voices? the media, celebrities, NGOs? can we plan a strategy to get the government to act, cos on our own, we don't have guns, we can't wield machetes, we don't know our left from our right in searching for the girls, if we did, we would have.
you are just as stupid as your comment. period
ReplyDeleteTrivialise jare,Please it is not the citizens duty or call to evade the God forsaken forest, for those saying what has Modupe done? Is she armed? 0r is she supposed to go there with sticks and stones? Modupe, do you have armoured tanks, guns and bombs? Did Modupe or you and i swear an oath to protect the citizens of the FRN? Hian!
ReplyDeleteLet those who are trained for this bit handle it, it is their bit not ours.
Nnenna you are absolutely correct if only we can do all you listed.Let labour congress declare strike for this innocent girls. Its obvious Jona does not care, some citiezen are more important than the other,no FEC meeting in honour of Sambo's brother what has he done to show seriousness about getting those poor girls back nothing but dance the dance of shame in Kano if not for opposition he would have been in Adamawa on monday.Jona arise Nigerian's call obey and bring the little ones.
ReplyDeletemarch not match
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing we are asking an individual what have she has done???????really?????? This is a situation that will see a swift response by the president and government of the day in any other country.Prime ministers have resigned for mishaps in their country. No individual has control over the military. No individual has power to invite foreign experts in fighting terrorism. This is our government failing us.
ReplyDeleteThe only area we fail is we keep allowing our leaders treat us like this.So I get what Modupe is saying.
@Anon 8:58AM - You just hit the nail on the head...abi coffin in this case? The only way we can get Government's attention on this matter is for an industrial strike powered by NLC...then someone will listen and possibly act.
ReplyDelete
