DeleteEspecially China
DeleteGod help us
ReplyDeleteI guess its the rain of yesterday cos it was really heavy. I'm sure the drainage system there would have been blocked with nylons and plastic bottles. These ones wading across this 'stream' should be ready to treat themselves of different skin diseases. Its a pity.
ReplyDeleteIs it the little rain that fell yesterday that caused this flood? That thing has got strong currents and see people walking through. What if you slip and fall? Even if my house is on that street I'd rather sleep under bridge. Life has no duplicate. Safety begins with you.
ReplyDeleteNigeria my beloved country it shall be well one day.
ReplyDeleteDis slogan is whts "Killing" us. Everyday and year to year, "It shall be well". It's nevr gonna get well if we dnt wake up and do something. I wnt hold dis one against Fashola because the man has rele bin able to manage Lagos to a commendable state. Y can't d landlords help to eliminate wastes from its drainage system and encourage its citizens nt to dispose refuse by providing proper waste disposal systems. We keep waiting for government to do everything wen we can do d little we can in our vicinity to help manage and curtail situations like this...
DeleteAh nor try Aboru flood oh... I Remember when I was in high school, whenever it rains my classmates that are residents of Aboru will start crying in class bacause of the flood and their parents will call in to make sure they stay in school for some hours after closing time, that's years back and I'm shocked things are still the same. Just pray there are no loss of lives this time :(
ReplyDeleteDats y it is good to look for a house during d rainy season, especially in Lagos. Some parts of Lagos can be frustrating during dis season.
ReplyDeleteThis is bad o.
ReplyDeleteOnly in Naija!
Fashola is working ooo
ReplyDeleteWTH! I'm sure those buses swimming across 'll charge triple d price.
ReplyDeleteThis is really bad. The residents should clear thier drains.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see things like this I immediatley think of Nepa wires...we all know how obsolete and dangerous Nepa oops Phcn oops private power people's transformers, poles, wires etc are. Now last week people were electrocuted cos they ran out onto a street that wasn't even this crowded!
ReplyDeleteNaija sha. Sufferhead too much. These people in power should fear God o. Every aspect of life is just made difficult.
Lol assin phcn name
DeleteSo nobody fit go carve canoe come dey use do transport for here?
ReplyDeleteBusiness is business. River or flood.

DeleteTHIS IS SERIOUS! I thought Lagos state said they spent a lot of money on drainage???
ReplyDeleteNatural disasters happen everywhere.
ReplyDeleteAPC kwenu!!!
ReplyDeleteI was at d place. We have to wait for more than 4 hours to pass thru d road. It was so terrible dat d few cars dat attempt passing thru d water broke down inside it. Wat caused d flood was dat a filling station was built where d water was supposed to pass and another petrol filling station construction was ongoing opp d first one right now. D water was unable to move forward or backward. It was a pathetic sight on sunday o. Abeg govt should do d right thing o
