A Nigerian Appointed Precinct Commander By The New York Police Department

The New York Police Department (NYPD) has announced the appointment of a Nigerian, Deputy Inspector Olufunmilo Obe, as the Commander of the 28th Precinct in New York City.  She replaces Deputy Inspector Kevin Williams who has been given a new assignment at the Counterterrorism Bureau.

Deputy Inspector Obe was appointed to the New York City Police Department in February 1994, and began her career on patrol in the 17th Precinct.  She was promoted to Sergeant in December 2000; Lieutenant in July 2005; Captain in September 2008; and Deputy Inspector in June 2012.  Deputy Inspector Obe has served in the Midtown South Precinct, 32, 25, 19 and 34 Precincts; as well as Patrol Borough Manhattan North and Police Service Area 3.
Deputy Inspector Obe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from City College, and a Master of Public Administration and Government degree from Marist College.
The African community in the New York region heartily congratulates Deputy Inspector Olufunmilo Obe and wishes her more successes at the New York Police Department.culled

  14. the so called female celebrities in nigeria disturbing us with new shoe, new bag, new car, new house, new Bum, new breast, no makeup, new sugar daddy, new weave on, camping in hotel abroad with latest catch, etc etc... This is what is called an achievement. take note and take cue. Do something meaningful and we would celebrate u. They think that posting new things bought or acquired is an achievement , no its entertainment. Don't get it twisted. This right here is an achievement! Chika Ike the entertainer pls take note. Lolz.
