*i seem not to understand this....she stole her husbands car?their car? isnt it supposed to belong to the two of them after marriage?why is her lawyer not arguing her case?how can she steal what belongs to her?.
Hian...which kain story be this?how can a wife steal her husband's car?I don't get it....
ReplyDeleteSomething is missing somewhere. I suspect they are seperated.
DeleteExactly,something is missing somewhere!
DeleteMaybe he was at his mistress house and madam took the car from there to frighten him
I don't need to look too far to get what's going on,the hubby is loaded enough to sort the police boss and has done so to humiliate his legally married wife whom he must have been fed up with long time ago.If the woman knows what's good for her she had better stop dragging this case in court or she will end up in kirikiri for years and we all know she is innocent but sadly we live in a country where evil triumphs over good anwe live in a country where riualists are caught and set free whilst an innocent agege bread seller who is caught at d wrong place at d wrong time goes to eat beans at kirikiri.madam kneel and beg and read psalm 35 at 12midnight for 35 days over this jackass u call a hubby and see vengeance in a large scale on his life but first get ur self outta that magistrates grip cos they settle magistrates too ««MON AMI»»»

ReplyDeleteStella, what kind of jaguda argument are you asking the lawyer make?
So if a man buys an SUV for the use of himself and his wife, the armed robber of a wife has the right to connive with her fellow armed robbers to steal the car?
Stella, you are.such a feminist... Ah ah,she stole it,she stole it. What is there to argue? Please read the complete gist and you would know she stole it,conspired to sell it before she was apprehended and taken to court. What is there to argue... Biko, women always want to play victim all the time even when the men are sometimes the victim
ReplyDeleteYeah ur rite, but let's look at it from the point of the woman. Mayb her husband wasn't taking care of her as he should
DeleteUhun..na so you go talk..
DeleteAka gum ni bobo yen...what will make a wife wanna sell her hubby's car?
DeleteThanks qutie for your comment. Sensible.
DeleteMy thoughts exactly oo, why steal from your husband?
ReplyDeleteKai!
ReplyDeleteThis ngozi is a learner

DeleteShe can't steal her own property, that car belongs to the two of them since they are married period. That is how it works where i am. Any way nah Naija marriage so..
ReplyDeleteStella I tire o..the two are one now..maybe he has anoda wife cos the story no just gel..how much be highlander sef wey we no go hear word..
ReplyDeleteSomething must have have gone wrong in their marriage.
ReplyDeleteStella, it would have been more helpful to comment on this case if we know if they have children together. I don't understand why he took the matter to the police/court. It should have been settled within the family or maybe he tried and they couldn't resolve it. I still don't get why he went that far over a car especially if she is the mother of his children.

ReplyDeleteHahaha. See beef... Biko, stay on your lane. Argue constructively and leave hubby outta it.
DeleteAnonymous 1.22 stupid comment I must say. Most of u here think all men are bad but u ladies do worst than Nigeria men. Any time men will have time to discuss about nigeria women on blogs or vlog most of u will hide faces in shame. Stupid. U want her not to say the fact because she is a woman, u even bring her man onto the talk.
DeleteWhen a man marries a w woman what belongs to the man belongs to the woman but in this story the woman stole the car and attempted to sell the car before she was apprehended if she took the car and drives it around there is no crime in that
ReplyDeletebut to take the car and sell with out the consent of oga on top that na yawa oo an na theft be that becos the document is in the am,ns name of oga so in thsi case no b our car oooo na my car oooh this scenario becomes one plus one is two not one plus one is one.
Stella if ur oga carry ur car go sell for ur back how u go feel
Isnt there a law about husband and wife testifying each other?
ReplyDeleteWalahi if my husband carries my car that I bought and goes to sell it, that is theft o. Which yeye what I own is his. If this lady stole the car then she no try. Yours is mine means you can use it with no yawa. Not you can dispose of it as you wish...MBA.
ReplyDeleteOmo this one na confirm theft. Had it been she told him, e for better

Na wahoooo,,d wife no try @ all,,madness
ReplyDeleteDisgrace
ReplyDeleteIn a situation like this, theft is out of it. Read ur Matrimonial causes Act and Marriage Act. But she can be charged for conspiracy alone.
ReplyDeleteThe fact the car belongs to them both going under the clause:'properties of the marriage',doesnt make her taking it and selling not an offence Stella esp if he bought the car in his name,in that case yes she stole it!
ReplyDeleteBtw the man too is actually silly, why charge ur own wife to court cos of an ordinary 2.8mill tokunbo SUV?mtceeew!#stupid men everywhere#
Lawyers and Judges aren't supposed to discuss their cases until after its ruling;I would 've spoken to my aunt(Magistrate Komolafe) in church tomorrow there after give you guys the full gist.Maybe after she rules though I will e-mail Stella the details as follow up gist. Cheers
ReplyDeleteThe law says that if she takes it alone then she is not guilty of theft but if she takes it with the help of a third party then she is guilty of theft in the instant case she conspired with other people to take the car and money therefore she can be charged for stealing her husband's property
ReplyDeleteSDK her lawyer will have ample opportunity to 'argue her case' as you put it. This is just the preliminary hearing of the matter where pleadings are taken and bail applications made (pleadings na where dem go ask her say "are you guilty or not guilty?"). After that, na the person wey dey claim say dem steal him property go first prove his case before the woman will now present her defense to the charges against her. Thats the procedure in a criminal trial so no worry, i'm sure her lawyer knows what to do.
