In the early hours of Thursday March 13,2014 (yesterday) a trailer lost control and crashed into Diamond bank Okigwe.
The driver fell into instant coma whilst the conductor by his side died on the spot.
Lots of customers who were in the bank for early morning banking were seriously injured.
The pic above is the trailer turned upside down.
I hope the driver survives so that he can explain what happened.RIP to the conductor.
I hope all those seriously injured recover soon.

DeleteTrailer drivers and BRT drivers in Lagos drive like possessed demons, they see it as an insult if you moving faster than them, and they can drink and drive;am sure this driver is already drunk and dizzy,or the car was not in.good condition,Smh.
ReplyDeleteMay God heal the injured ones and the conductors family, the fortitude to bear their loss.
They do lots of jazz so they believe the juju will safe them in case of accidents. Used to manage up to 30trailers until recently, had to stop when my bp was constantly high and my hair turning grey.. 99% od them are evil

Nigeria will be better when we learn to make use of better options in transporting goods. Do we even have a minister for transportation? Why was a trailer moving in d morning? Thought they were banned from moving during busy hours. *sigh* Naija is sick!
ReplyDeleteToo sad for words. His brakes probably failed
