The Above statement is from Pastor Chris Oyakhlilome's Christ Embassy church..I am sorry but i do not agree with this statement at all....every child has a right to life as soon as it enters the womb and begins to grow.
Abortion is wrong..I am not saying that i come to equity with clean hands,i am just saying DO NOT KILL YOUR BABY IRRESPECTIVE OF WHETHER YOU WERE RAPED OR NOT.

I don't agree with that statement too! Instead of killing d baby thru abortion,d baby may be given up for adoption immediately after its birth or taken to a motherless baby's home. There are plenty of couples out there willing to adopt such children. If you have ever been through hell and back to get pregnant, then you will know that truly, getting pregnant is indeed a MIRACLE from God no matter what the circumstances are.

There are some medical instances where doctors advise abortion or if you don't mind see the child suffer extreme medical ailments when he/she is brought to life. Last year i nearly lost someone so dear to me. She was pregnant with a child and she was sick. She lived in the hospital! That baby was killing her but she stuck to her guns and said she was gonna carry it to term. One day she fainted on the road and she was rushed to the hospital. The doctor told her husband, do you want your wife to die? That child needs to be gone. and we gotta take it out right now! She was in the hospital for 2 weeks after the operation. She had to have the abortion to save her life.

The trauma and bitterness towards yourself and such baby stay for the rest of once life. Most people acting holy now will not have a 2rd thought before aborting such child. I think the right thing is to use any form of medication before foetus develop. For use men pray your wife/girlfriend is not raped by robbers/others because even our ego won't allow such wife or girlfriend to keep the child, most of us will say we don't care deep inside us we do.

DeleteTalking about rape...a young 13yr old girl was raped in my neighbourhood 4days ago by a young man, he was reported to idimu police state Egbeda but dude is home now and bouncing, the poor girl is back to hawking amala and ewedu for her madam a day after the rape, the dabbed her VG wit hot water, gve her paracetamol, case closed. A girl flat chested, young and innocent. I feel so bad for that little girl and I wish there is something I can do to help cos I know she is dealing wit so much more than people understands. It pierced me to see her the very next day after the rape incident serving her madam as usual, no counselling, nothing. Pls is there anyone here who could help bring justice to this poor girl? Pastor said if you've never been raped, you might not agree with him. The fact is all of you talking have never been in this situation so you will never know how it feels, keeping a baby from the traumatic experience will remind you of the pain for the rest of your life.

The real issue raised by Chris in his statement is whether Abortion is a sin or not and not whether a woman should be allowed to abort or not and Chris made it clear to us that it is not a sin as it is not in the bible. This gives rise to the issue of Sola Scriptura (by Scripture alone)being practiced mainly by pentecostal churches (google and read on to understand the doctrine). Lets not be blinded or confused by worldy doings. What is bad is bad no matter how much you fine coat or sugar coat it. We Christians should really seek the face of God and not of man, ask the Holy spirit to fill your heart with God's love.As for a raped woman and an unwanted pregnancy, whatever be the decision, it will be between the woman and God and God's Love is so beautiful that whatever happens he is ready to give another chance. People need to get with the programme. all these holier than thou attitude wen people get for naija na im make us no dey progress. Women across the world have fought for a woman's right to her body, for a woman's right to have a baby a not. Don't judge anyone, if a woman is raped and she decides not to have her baby, it is entirely up to her. Considering Nigeria is not even a Welfare state. All you holier than thou's, would you all help take care of this baby if this woman decides to have it. Naija wen wicked people full anyhow, wen people no know anything about charity at all. ReplyDeleteHowever....the bible preaches wisdom....any rape victim should seek medical attention ASAP so as to rule out the possibilities of pregnancy......but in the human nature,,,a woman may not like to leave that pregnancy bcos of the trauma attached to it....but Pastor Chris should have just made his points based on the scriptures instead of talking about "forcing a child to life"(no one forces anyone to life...God sees things before it happens and allows it happen....no one can question God on that...(I know some people will say God does not do evil but remember the story of Job in the bible,,he was tormented by the devil after he got God's permission but the only thing,,GOD DIDN'T ALLOW the devil to take Job's life)
I would love to know how many of you have adopted children? The same people saying abortion is wrong and you can give the child up for adoption, have not, and will never adopt any of these children that were not aborted.

People who have not adopted or even volunteer in a children's home, done foster care, or even being a big brother or big sister want to tell women what not to do with their pregnancies and these same people will not lift a hand to help not even one needed child..hypocrisy of the highest order.

DeleteThis issue is a sensitive one,I usually do not drop comments,but on this I can so relate,I was gang raped some years back by a group of armed robbers in the presence of my dad,I went to the hospital immediately they left just to prevent stds nd pregnancy.but alas,I still got pregnant but no std,d emotional trauma was too much for me to bear,I remember their semen was brownish, thick and was smelling.I kept asking God why me,how do u expect me to keep such child who keeps reminding of such an ugly incidence.I evacuated the foetus and made peace with God.hence in this situation it is left for the victim to decide if she wants to keep the baby or not,instead of forming holier than thou attitude when you are not even in the victims position

God is all knowing and cannot compromise His standard however pathetic the situation may be. Deeper understanding about faith will teach you that God will not permit temptations to come your way as such as you cant handle. You cant yield totally to the will of the Spirit excepted you have a genuine understanding of Christ's nature. Legalistic people will give you supposed genuine reasons to trivialize Gods judgment, but you should know better. Jesus wouldn't have approved abortion for any reason and as Christians, He is our only true standard for life. Even a madman's seed was fearfully and wonderfully made. People are funny...... Am a believer, spirit filled and in my 20 something year walk with God I can bodily and confidently say that God does not walk with sentiments like man does..... Every fertilised seed is a soul in heaven...... Any abortion regardless of circumstance is recorded and the feotus has a soul..... Nobody is saying some conditions are not humanly life threatening or harrowing but even if you decide to abort it doesn't change the fact that that child is recorded in heaven. We must be careful not to always look at Gods word in light of mordernity and moreso in this last days when men are lovers of self and do things to please self..... I have read testimonies of people who God showed heaven and hell so they can come back and warn his people..... There were accounts of babies who had been aborted who were in heaven...whether one day or nine months, when pregnancy occurs a soul is recorded... This same bible when people keep misinterpreting and quoting we forget was introduced to us by the white man just to suppress us o. Actually reminds me of a converstion I had with a woman, She was stating having a C-section to have your baby is against God's wishes and the bible. Someone made a comment, how many of you holier than thous don adopt before. i was a legion of Mary and my duties was mostly to go to Motherless babies homes then. I felt so sorry for some of these kids, their quality of life was so bad that even at that age, i figured their life would have been better if they were not born rather than be treated this way.
