DeleteWhen I saw 12yrs of slave,I only noticed how good chiwetal was. I was also mighty glad that Brad Pitt played a very minor waka pass role.As for Lupita,I need to go watch it again. The only scene where she impacted on me was where she was flogged,and that scene was to true to life that I averted my eyes. Hope she shines on.Hope its not a flash in the pan reign...am still searching for those actresses that won awards in 'the maid'. Hollywood has a way of projecting a new black star and kick quietly kick same to the background after several nights of glory. May lupita's reign be long.

It's just like the high fashion world, there's no room for 2 cat walk queens. To me the person who deserves all of this hype is Chiwetala not Lupita. ReplyDeleteMrs D; it won 7 awards. Watch Gravity and enjoy the sound and effects. If you like sci-fi you'll love it. It leaves you on the edge of your seat. Bullock held that movie. Well, it was all about her. It's the best movie I have seen in 3D (better than Life of Pi and Avatar.)
