House of Reps Say Okonjo-Iweala Forged And Faked Documents Concerning Missing N24bn Police Pension

On Thursday, Finance Minister Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was accused of brandishing fake and forged documents in her defence in the case of the N24bn missing from Police pension fund.

The House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts argued that the Minister had falsely claimed the money was not missing but paid into bank accounts.
Members of the Committee included Director General of Pension Transitional Arrangement Department, Mrs. Nellie Mayshak, and representatives of the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation.

Chairman of the committee Mr. Solomon Olamilekan maintained there are no verifiable documents before the committee to track the N24bn to any bank accounts.
Moreover, Olamilekan noted, instead of honouring the Committee’s invitation to discuss the issue, the Minister opted to make a press statement on the ongoing investigation.

The Committee, therefore, challenged Dr. Okonjo-Iweala to a public debate which would be broadcast live, with all media representatives present, and inform Nigerians on the fate of N24bn.culled

  3. I think this country is just dizzy since it came into existence..missing fund, fake documents or stuffs like this didn't start today..soo I'm not surprised but do u know what;I'm just more than amazed!! What is an individual doing with that kind of money without putting the interest of the masses in his/her heart..truth is I ve come to observe something and its a fact.u see all this money they are embezzling as they wish;its not even going abroad as u all might think..they are building and buying houses in different part of nigeria and stashing the money in it(some of the houses have underground too)..soo they will stash and stash and stash until they are satisfied..cos they know naija is now tracing their accounts abroad and the banks in the country can't hold that amount of money for an individual but this idea is the least anyone would expect..if u guys like, doubt me,if u like curse me(no be today e start na)..anything u do,na u sabi!! #fact

  11. Corruption corruption corruption everywhere in this country. Which kain life? I'm tired of crying and praying for this country. Right now all I'm concerned about is getting into a juicy position so that I too can cart away billions. I'm just sick and tired. One thing is for sure though- this world will end soon. Things can't continue like this. Everything has gone wrong. Adultery, fornication, deadly diseases, rape murder, abuse of little children, killing and destruction of properties, lies, deceit, suicide,I could go on and on. I'm just tired !!!

  12. Our "thieffery" in naija has graduated to another level! from millions to billions well I believe they (the so so people called in to transform the nation's economy) initially come with good intentions but end up succumbing to the "thieferry" trend due to pressure and lots of idle funds lying around begging to be invested or stolen

  14. Our mothers now loot and lie more than our fathers. Our women in government seem to be sophisticated in stealing more than men as they are more educated compare to men in government. What a country? They know Nigeria have no future that's reasons they even marry their daughters and son's out to westerners creating road for safe exit. Anyone who put Nigerian's in our situation will surely face us one day,if you don't your kids and grand kids will.

  15. Very soon armed robbers and pickpockets will start inciting the gullible to lynch innocent people based on accusations without proof.

Put the documents out for the public to see, send copies to the US doj and EU, case closed.
