ANOVULATION....Hey Woman This Could Be You.

This post is because a lady that has been fasting and praying and believing God for a child since she got married five years ago just found out that she does not Ovulate AT ALL after her period each month ...
I thought to myself that perhaps most women believing God for the fruit of the womb are also suffering from Anovulation.

Please read about it and I pray God opens your eyes by reading this......This might be your BREAK THROUGH

When women are young, they are taught that once a month, in addition to having a period, they will also ovulate. This general truth is usually presented as an absolute fact.  Optimally, your reproductive system will ovulate each month,  but there are times when it doesn’t ovulate as it should.  The following information will explain to you exactly what anovulation  is, what causes it, and what can be done to diagnose and treat an anovulatory cycle.

Anovulatory Cycle – What Is It and What Causes It?

Quite simply, an anovulatory cycle occurs when a woman skips ovulation. If a woman is not tracking her ovulation, she may not even know it has happened. When anovulation takes place, most women will appear to menstruate as normal, but ovulation will not occur. During the early and late years of menstruation, this is a common occurrence. In these instances, a woman’s body is changing drastically and anovulatory cycles will happen quite often. If a woman is in her prime, it is common to have the odd cycle without ovulation. The trouble occurs when anovulation is a common theme in a woman’s life.

Common, easily regulated causes for anovulatory cycles are stress, overexertion, and eating habits. When women are over or underweight, their bodies will react differently to hormonal changes as they occur. A vigorous exercise program or extremely active lifestyle can affect hormones and thus ovulation and fertility.

For example, a lot of gymnasts and ballerinas will experience anovulatory cycles quite often. When women use “The Pill” or “The Shot”, they are chemically imitating anovulation. Over an extended period of time, the use of these drugs can negatively affect the function of your reproductive organs.

Diagnosis and Treatment of Anovulation
There are women who do not menstruate (amenorrhea) or have extremely irregular periods (oligomenorrhea). In this case, anovulation is easy to spot. For the majority of women, detecting anovulatory cycles can be difficult. A doctor can test for several factors that may indicate a woman is experiencing irregular ovulation. Testing progesterone levels, the endometrial lining, and testing for the presence of specific antibodies, will help a physician to diagnose anovulation.

Treatment of anovulatory cycles will depend greatly on the findings of the administered tests. If it is decided that the causes are natural or stemming from outside influence, natural remedies will be prescribed. These include regulating eating habits and other methods   already discussed up there.

If the cause of anovulation is decided to stem from internal imbalances, there is no need to worry. There are several fertility boosters that can combat a varied set of factors. These may include drugs designed to increase estrogen, ripen the follicles, or to help a woman release her egg when she is supposed to ovulate. The most drastic and last scenario a woman may encounter would be surgery. Normally this will only take place if she is found to have tumors.

If you or someone you know is experiencing regular bouts of anovulation, heed the advice above. The first thing you should do is try to make small changes to the things you can control. Eat healthier, exercise without over doing it, and try to make time for relaxation and stress relief. If these methods don’t help, you should seek the help of a professional. Your doctor can run some tests to figure out the causes of irregular ovulation and find a solution suited to your circumstances that will help you avoid an anovulatory cycle.culled

    1. Dear fellow SDKers, pls let's do something about the Rape issue shared on this blog on Sunday. Right now, Olakunle Koleoso (the custom officer)has ran off Facebook. That's guilt in my own opinion. So let's not stop at that. Search for everyone bearing that name Koleoso (Eni bi omo oran nii pon) the man with a troublesome child carries him. Let's send his friends and family d link to our dear Stella's blog on FB. If u know him or have his number put it online. Most rapists are repeat offenders! There maybe some other ladies out there that have been raped by them. So let's make sure that he knows that he has murdered sleep. Also, Olowoyeye is still on FB, but its like he is not a regular user. Let's make sure that their friends all hear abt what they did. UNTIL they either publicly denounce/deny the act. Or they feel what it means to be humiliated! Shalom.

    3. Hmmm. Na wa o. This is what Khloe Kardashian is suffering thats why she's been uable to conceive but in her own case I think its a blessing in disguise cos she'd have ended up having a kid for that deceiver of a husband. Wow and I just went off family planning and the same month I took in for my 3rd baby.
I remember my husband saying that it takes only a look from him to get me pregnant.
I pray fervently pray for all women looking for the fruit of the womb. May God fulfil your heart desires. Amen !

  11. Wow such an educative n eye opening piece. Many young women dnt even knw wot ovulation is, talk more of having an irregular one.
rememb som yrs back wen I was still getting t knw my body; I had ds excruciating pain by d right side of my stomach one certain day. I went t d hospital n d doctor examined me n told me it kud b appendicitis wich was still in its early stage. He placed me on pain relieving injection f three days. He said if d pain persists I wud hav t undergo operation t remove d appendix I just rejected any form of operation f mysef. Few yrs later I hav nt still undergone d operation but I noticed d pain comes evry month n it alternates btw d right n left. Thru careful study of my body n surfing d net I came t realise that I usually felt such pain during my ovulation period amongst other signs.

so women nids t pay attention t dier body n d changes evry month. Make google ur frend too.

  12. Yes, I was a victim of annovulation. I got pregnant for my then boyfriend and I saw the worst in him, I had to terminate the pregnancy to save my life.
Shortly after the abortion, I noticed milk coming out of my breasts, this continued for over a year.
Then I got married, I couldn't take in for over six months, I saw a doctor and I was told i had galctorrhea and annovulation due to that abortion I had.
But thank God, i have a set of twins now.

  15. We, women need to be very observant of our bodies. By the way, is there any science to explain how you can see your menstrual flow without ovulating? What I know is that you must ovulate before menstruating. If my ovulation delays then automatically, my period delays and vice versa. It is a bit surprising to hear you can menstruate without ovulating and because this is possible, most women wont even know they have anovulation, they'll just think everything is alright.

  16. @Slik Shady, I was like you and I was always worried and when I visited my doctor then she told me it is ovulation and it shifts from left to right . It's not an unbearable pain kind of discomfort but not an excruciating pain like Naturell mentioned.Since the December last year I have started keeping my dates (I dont have a boyfriend neither do I do sex), so, I never bothered but I was told it's very important to keep dates. To reduce my workload (just because I'm lazy to keep dates), I downloaded an app MY CALENDER and it has taught me lots of things I never knew, , just like this topic now I never knew how maby times it occurs monthly but the app will explain better.
Nice one aunty Stella, keep it up.* I sent you an email this morning*

  23. Metformin helps annovulation especially if it involves polycystic ovaries. My GP told me that if u have a painful period it's a good sign ovulation took place. I know someone who didn't even get a period except breakthrough bleeding from the linning of the womb, failed clomid(3 cycles), used metformin for a month and bam God gave her twins even without a period.
