My Uncle is gone home to rest!......my lips quiver and my heart is heavy!...RIP Uncle..you were there for my family when we needed you most...rip.
Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has described the late Dr Abel Kprogidi Ubeku as a statesman, outstanding academic and father to all beyond his family where he was the patriarch.
Reacting to the news of the demise of the first indigenous Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria, the Governor in a statement by Felix Ofou, his Press Secretary also described the late Ubeku as a good natured personality who harboured no malice and thought no evil towards others.
"One factor that played out each time you met the late Ubeku was his good natured personality. For a man who had attained such an enviable height in life, you are also struck by his unmistakeable humility and open handedness. You immediately see the traits of a statesman", he pointed out.
Governor Uduaghan said Dr Ubeku's wisdom and wise jokes will be greatly missed by him and all those who had the good fortune of having an encounter with the man while alive, adding that the former presidential aspirant was a father to him.
"High Chief Ubeku was a man endowed with abundant wisdom. His bag of jokes were almost inexhaustible. Yet, you could not doubt his sound academic stature or brilliance. That was why he was like a father to me. It is really hard to imagine that such an iconic figure has gone to meet the Creator of the universe", he enthused.
The governor stated that the death was a big blow to Nigeria, Delta State, the Isoko nation, where the deceased hailed from as well as the entire Ubeku family and therefore prayed God to grant all those affected, the fortitude to bear the loss.

ReplyDeleteMy condolences, Stella, I remember my mum and late dad talked about this man a lot. Never met him personally but they only had good things to say about him.
Sucha great man! Oustandingly generous and good natured. He was an inspiration to both the young and old. Unselfish - always thinking of how to improve the quality of people's life. Were he given the chance he would have gone down in history as one of the best presidents Nigeria could ever produce. Men like him are rare. We shall miss him. We miss you High Chief Baba moyegun kprogidi.

ReplyDeleteIt appears you are the one holding the can of worms. He acknowleged both publicly as his wife and child for decades so who are you to say otherwise? At least respect him enough to not talk of such issues. Ah ah!
Deletewe appreciate all those who sent their condolences. but please Tracy Ubeku (originally Tracy Okoro) is not his biological daughter and she isn't his wife (Beatrice)'s daughter either. pls stop spreading false rumor and lets not get to where can of warms will be open...we re getting there #evilwife.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all to all you haters Dr. Abel Ubeku was a lover nothing like you so called 'relatives', traits y'all obviously do not possess I guess it's quite hard for strangers to see the resemblance that's why you go on explaining yourselves over and over again claiming there is a 'can of worms' to be opened, foolish people do your research properly that is old gist! Please try something new. If you really cared for the man where were you all the while he was sick? Bombarding his phone lines with request for money hungry thieves, for if you have any conscience at all you will at least allow him be buried in peace before starting all the media frenzy. You're so transparent everyone knows what you are after and maybe it's understandable knowing your pathetic state. Leave his wife alone, High Chief knew what he saw in her, she's beautiful, kind and accommodating. She's truly brave and we'll admired by those who matter. Please stop working so hard to expose yourselves everyone knows the truth. Allow this great man to be buried in peace!

ReplyDeleteD man is gone and already made name for himself.it is shamefull dat som elements re using dis tyme of grief to vent their anger over certain issues which re uncalled for.d man lived a gud life, loved all, loved his wife fervently and above all left a legacy.so let does of his relative playing selfish antics desist from it and build on d legacy which he left.there can be no other chief baba like high chief baba.Adieu our great hero.....rip
