Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola’s administration has banned indecent dressing among female and male public servants at the Lagos State Government Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.
A directive has been sent out to this effect.
I don't know about you but i think Fashola has no right to tell adults how they should dress, that is an abuse of other peoples right..if anyone decides to dress in a certain way that is comfortable for them, that is their business…I really don't think it was as bad as the directive made it sound..
Do you agree with Fashola's directive?..
Governor Fashola,i am sending this seat your way,if you don't have anything better to do,please sit down on it and relax.
I think it's a good thing. There is time for everything. if you are going to club, dress as you like but when going to work dress decent. My opinion.
ReplyDeletePlease, they are grown ups! They should have the right to wear what they deem fit! Are they in primary school or what? This is an infringe on human right Sir, we are not under Gadafi's regime. I say a big NEIN to this directive.
DeleteGbammest!! 1000likes
DeleteOk, I don't care about the dress code ish- he's not my employer. But Stella where do you get these your chairs?
DeleteIf they wanto dress any way they like they should go and start their own businesses
DeleteIt is "YAY" for me. To be honest, the way our ladies dress now to work is so indecent. There is time and season for everything nah, Haba! Even the Europeans that we are trying to copy has seasons and weather that suits their dressing most of the time. But trust our 9ja ladies to wear "bum short" during rainy season and leather jackets and pants during sunny season.....pschewwww!
DeleteIt is well.
Indecent dressing doesn't portray good upbringing and decency, had something to do at LASAA some weeks back, was shocked what the front desk officer wore. As a man, i didn't like it at all. It's supposed to be formal and corporate but the skirt was rather too mini. I agree with Fashola.
DeleteIts a capital NAY! How much is he payinq them? He shud juzt ask 4 decent outfits n leave dat dress code mata mbok.

Nay! There are more important issues please.
ReplyDeleteIf there is a clothing allowance to go with this, then no problem. If not, let him relax on Stella's seat. Stella, u should have given him d other seat, cos he may sleep off on this one.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when peeps says "u can wear anything u like if u are comfortable wid it".Certain human being ar like animals.Infact,sm are worst than animals in nature & characters.Hence ppl must be cautioned if nt tamed.
ReplyDeleteIf decency and sanity is nt maintained on d bases of *am comfortable or *Right of expression, one day ppl esp females wl wake up and wear rags to work.
OLUWÆßÖßßÝ
I agree with you.... I don't support dress code but support no to indecent dressing.
Deletethis dude is taking a piss.he will soon arrest girls with human hair cos they are not ethnic enough for him. pls if u hv brown teeth like me stay home o.fashola will arrest u.hiss
ReplyDeletea welcome development
ReplyDeleteThis man has striking resemblance with my Uncle....#to the topic, whatever suits his Government.
ReplyDeleteYAY! YAY!! YAY!!!
ReplyDeleteIts good o. Majority of Alausa ladies are sluts. I believe the situation might have gone out of hand for the laws to have been made.
ReplyDeleteAnd its not a matter of money that determines whether you dress decently or not. Its an organisation for crying out loud and there should be code of conduct for sanity to reign. All for d better jare. At least our hubby's eyes will rest for breast chooking.
Agree with u o jare... Me dunno why Stella dey yarn like this.. Oyinbo mentality don full her brain, or she prolly doesn't know how bad it cam get here
DeleteFashola might just be jobless...too many pressing issues and he made peoples dress code his priority? That seat is too comfortable biko send him another one and please attach one of those your cats. That might scare him a lil n redirect his senses...EEE!!!
ReplyDelete@anon2:16PM, Odenson, its only In Alausa LGA. Not the whole Lagos state. Stella, dey there dey yarn dust...maybe you don't know how some women behave In Nigeria again...without discipline, you'll just find out that they will wear rags to d office In the name of fashion.
Deleteyay, people should dress professional, to work. My lawd have you seen some of the clothes these ladies wear to work? it would make a prostitute blush. I do not see anything wrong with what fashola wrote, if people want to dress comfortable stay home. after all hilary clinton wrote this same memo, to all white house staff, when she was a first lady. she atually sent some ladies home to change. So it is no big deal, especially with a lot of sexual harrassment in the work place in nigeria.
ReplyDeleteRubbish.
ReplyDeleteAnty SDK face ur work n leave Fashola alone; I think u r d one dat needs d seat urgently. #myopinion#..
ReplyDeleteI say yay! The way some women dress these days to work is very embarrassing and they will be the 1st to shout that they are being sexually harassed when they are the ones who send wrong signals to those randy men.
ReplyDeleteIf you are going to work please dress smart and professional. When you are at home you can be naked for all I care.
I wish they will also ban indecent dressing in plublic places like the malls etc.
Sometimes I wonder if this govenor doesn't have better things to do.
ReplyDeleteGod bless u my sister!
DeleteSigh*
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing wrong in stipulating a dress code , since many mothers do not respect themselves these days. Rose
ReplyDeleteIt is a welcome development. Some pple nd to b taught hw important it is to b decently dressed bcos ur r addressed d way u dress.
ReplyDeleteWhat's this Stella saying? Sometimes the way you reason leaves much to be desired.
ReplyDeleteIt's a workplace and there are rules. Owned and Operated by the Govt or not, at the end of the day, it is a corporate environment.
You don't just waltz into your workplace dressed anyhow you deem fit. How many private concerns can they try that shit?
Stellatica na where you for dey see all this chair self. Lol
ReplyDeleteSo they can go half naked bcos they have FH right? When they rape or assault them sexually now they will be crying foul? fashola kudos. Hapi.
ReplyDeleteOne million kudos [YEAH] to Fashola and the code. All bad beles like Stella can go bury their head in Shame [of Nudity that the so called adult freedom has turned our society into]. Wake up, lady, all of us can not siddon look while our society rottens
ReplyDeleteOne million kudos [YAY] to Fashola and the code. All bad beles like Stella can go bury their head in Shame [of Nudity that the so called adult freedom has turned our society into]. Wake up, lady, all of us can not siddon look while our society rottens
ReplyDeleteI'd say it's a YAY for me. It'll help check indecency. We ladies tend to go over board sumtyms in our efforts to stay in d trend.
ReplyDeleteAbeg ,make una park well joor,it probably became unbare-able!!!!!!!! if adults can not behave and dress like adults let them give them uniform infact.............Mscheeew,Have you ever visited any civil office before?go now, and see them with slippers, some are dressed like they just rolled off the bed into the office, I have even seen jalabia haba....you are adressed as you are dressed....Ride on Fashola Baba...Eko oni baje...
