Domestic Violence Victims Help Is Here With Global Initiative For Peace Love And Care (GIPLC)

Hi Stella,
Thank you for lending your voice to the cause of ending domestic violence in our society.

I would like to use your forum to introduce our organisation. Global initiative for peace love and care. (GIPLC)

The organization is a non profit, non governmental charity organization founded in 2006 to help orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) to promote sustainable programs that will give  them a better quality of life.

Our on-going projects include.

*Save a child- where donations are made for children suffering various medical conditions and whose parents/family are not capable of paying for their treatment.
Under this program GIPlc raised the sum of N37400000 (thirty seven million four hundred thousand naira) for Okikijesu Olawuyi, the baby born without a skull for reconstructive surgery at the John Hopkins University hospital MD ,USA. CLICK HERE TO READ ABOUT BABY OKIKIS STORY

*Adopt a child- where children may be relocated to be with their parents/guardians or fostered depending on the circumstances

*Educate a child- under this program, individuals can make monthly or yearly payments to sponsor a child's education
Over 2000 children are currently being sponsored by individuals in schools across the FCT.

*Food for 1 million- monthly donations every last Saturday of the month ,food, clothes, toys, etc spread across 23 orphanages in the FCT.

Dealing with these cases,we have realised that for a lot of these cases the underlying problem is that the mothers of these children are displaced as a result of various factors beyond their control.

The good news is that GIPLC now has a program for women going through domestic violence.

If you need help or know someone who does. We can offer assistance and support in the form of emotional counselling/prayer partners (ANY FAITH)/ funds/ etc.

Our newly initiated Domestic violence  program is quite young but we have been able to reach several women who are in need.

Please if you are currently in an abusive relationship that is life threatening to you,do not be afraid to ask for help.

    1. Don't say anything more to her, and tell her you do not want to hear anything from her about any abuse with her husband. Going forward you will not be discussing this matter at all, and stick to your words. It's not that you don't care, but if she is not receptive to any reasoning, what more can you do. Leave her be.

  9. Wonderful initiative. This is a far reaching organization with so many different areas of interest that I really would be happy to donate to.

With respect to the domestic violence program, do you assist with helping women to find a place to live; shelter, women's home, or a place they can physically escape to? Because having a place to go to, even during the transitioning phase seems to be what keep many women bound to their tormentors.
