Yvonne Nelson Debunks Bleaching Tales After American Website Calls Her Out.

Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has been forced to respond to rumors that she has been bleaching her skin. The rumors, fueled by her ever lightening skin complexion has been airing for nearly a year but the mention of her name by a US website, Atlanta Blackstar as one of 15 black celebrities believed to be whitening their skin, moved Miss Nelson to give a  response

Their report says

Atlanta Blackstar Report says ''Yvonne Nelson is a Ghanaian actress, model, film producer and entrepreneur. A former Miss Ghana contestant, Yvonne shot to fame after a big screen role in “Princess Tyra” and Playboy. Yvonne has denied that she has bleached her skin''.

Yvonne Nelsons denial  says: “My present skin tone is as a result of the constant use of the famous Queen Elizabeth Cocoa Butter. About 3 years ago, I was fortunate enough to secure a deal to be the "Face of Queen Elizabeth Cocoa Butter" and as part of the contract, I was given a lifetime supply of the body cream. I have therefore been using this cream exclusively for 3 years, so what you see now is the result of the goodness of Queen Elizabeth. It has simply enhanced my natural complexion rather than bleach it.”

Queen Elizabeth Cocoa Butter, which is the official moisturiser of the British monarch, after whom the product is named is rich in akomfem oil which is believed to have given Miss Yvonne Nelson this caramel skin colour. It also contains vitamins A, E and F which are essential for nourishment and moisturising without leaving the skin greasy'
*This report of denial was a few months ago and Yvonne's skin is even lighter than when she was accused of bleaching.....na wah!

*hian!!!!!.... so whose report should we believe? I am reading another thing and seeing another thing?abi i need recommended glasses? make una fear God oh!

  10. @Yvonnenelsongh,it doesn't matter if u were fortunate to be the Face of Queen Elizabeth. The bone of contention here is "is there a change in ur skin complexion? If Yes then u are bleaching(Toning).u are naturally dark skinned. P.S: Anyone using shea butter or cocoa butter be it in it's natural state or processed state, have this at the back of your mind. It's goin 2 lighten ur complexion(Tone u up). Mbok, leave that grammar. If u were as intelligent as u portray urself to be then u should have been witty with ur response/reply. A cream be it Estee lauder, clinique, clarins etc that's taking u from a dark skinned lady to a light skinned lady is doing what 2 ur complexion. Mbok it's bleaching(Toning) u my dear.

    3. Keep quiet before you start sounding like miss know all. I havr used shea butter before and I left from chocolate to extremely dark. Same happened to my mum and sis. We had to change itiimmediately. Besides we have creams that only enhance your colour and do not bleach. Bcos of the weather condition in nigeria one can get easily dark. With a good cream, iy can protect your skin and aid your colour enhancement. It doesn't mean you are bleaching or toning. I presently use some forever living products supplement and cream and even though I'm still chocolate in colour, my skin looks better and it's way lighter than it use to. With products and supplements with vit e, vit d, and active HA your skin will sure look great and you could even lighten up a little if that is the true colour of your skin. You all should try the forever range of products. They are awesome

    8. It's true o. Shea butter lightened me. I was even surprised cus I'm dark skinned and never ever planned to tone up. I just decided to go native and started using 'ori'( shea butter) mixed with " adi agbon'( coconut oil) and Lo and behold,i started getting lighter and people began to ask me what I was using so I stopped and now I'm back to my normal jergens.
So it depends on the skin type and if the ori is original.

  22. Well truth is better living shows on your skin. If she's stopped smoking, her skin would appear lighter, if she ate a better diet, full of fruits and vegetables, her skin would get brighter, if she now has money for regular spa products and treatments ( body scrubs, acid peels etc.) her skin would appear lighter, brighter and smoother. Now this lighter doesn't mean she bleached, it just means years or hardship is over and her true color is shining through.
Yes she looks lighter than before, but as someone who has been accused of bleaching because I got "lighter" as I was able to take better care of my skin, I want to give her benefit of the doubt. It's not like she was dark chocolate and is now creme brulee, she's maybe 5 -7 shades lighter, so it's possible she didn't bleach.

I have been using queen Elisabeth Cocoa butter for 3 months now and I've already noticed EVIDENT changes in my skin tone - I'm not necessarily lighter, but my skin is a lot more even and radiant. According to the manufacturers, this cream contains no bleach, nor does it have bleaching effects on the skin. Ingredients are labelled on the bottle as demineralised water, mineral oil, methyl paraben, glycerin, lanolin, cocoa butter and fragrance.
People are so quick to jump to conclusions. How about actually doing some research first before throwing around accusations?
