The Frenemy On The Job.

Some people are presently having problems on their job...problems caused by the very person who helped them get the job in the first place!
..Others caused by friends we have made on the job but who are angry at our progress and will do anything to see you disgraced out of the job...those are frenemies...friends who are enemies.

Some people know their frenemies on the job but cannot confront them,some do not know,which is even more dangerous.
Have you been able to identify your frenemy on the job?you think you have none?you want to share your story?you have a piece of advice for someone who is going through the worst on the job at the moment?

 ''I am being traumatised in the office. my story goes thus.......

I was helped into my present employment by a family friend,who also doubled as the company lawyer/consultant (i will refer to her as Mamie).

and i am grateful for her help.but right now Mamie has turned into a thorn in my flesh and a stumbling block on my path to progress,she is making my life unbearable.and hell bent on making me loose my job and means of livelihood.

I could remember her telling me, on no account,should i make it known in the office that she brought me in.there was a time i went to greet her by her car at the office,a lot of people were there. Mamie snubbed me.she did not wind down her window to acknowledge me,sometimes i will want to greet her,but she will take her eyes away.so i don't know how to relate with her.

My boss is a difficult man.any little mistake you make,he will so abuse you,and at least 100 people would have heard how he employed a moron to work for him,nobody knows how to write a letter etc.he will tell you to do like 5 different things at the same time,and expects you to complete the job immediately, failure to meet up,you are branded as an incompetent,stupid unreliable.. etc and you already know,that at least 100 people would have heard how he employed an incompetent idiot.

When i newly resumed, there was a group of people there (also staff) who served as the office cabal. they were against my employment.and made my life miserable.but i stayed because  i thought i had the blessing of the boss and was not bothered. tried my best to put things in shape.

I made enemies discharging my duties,because i ensure due process is followed and petty cash claimed is reasonable.i ask questions a lot. yet my boss still sees nothing good in me.and he causes a lot of conflict too.e.g there was a time a colleague wanted to claim some petty expenses, and there was no cash available.she went to the boss,the boss told him that myself and my second said because she doubles her claim, that is why we don't give petty cash.which we never said .

This girl kept malice with me for weeks,at the end of the day,the boss even gave her double of the money she asked for.

i have been on the same salary for the past 2 and half years working with them.yet anybody employed after me receives more salary than me,even the receptionist guy earns more than me,and i have wondered why. but my enemy revealed herself to me.

A new HR was employed last year September.and a meeting was held chaired by Mamie. she abused us tire, told a colleague if he had ever bought a car in his life,the car he bought was given to him by Oga, told another guy ( a cousin of Mamie herself) never to write official letter again in his life, that his written and oral English is bad, my turn,she said i come to work carrying all the problem of my area to office,that she question my boss why he gave me money the previous December for working late with him , that i don't deserve anything because I AM INSOLENT. that i cant do anything to her after all she BROUGHT ME IN. my world came crashing down. my helper became my stumbling block, and i understood why other's salaries were increased and mine remained the same.

To the best of my knowledge i did not do anything wrong.have never talked back to her,i hardly talk in the office.

most of my duties were practically taken from me,and am gradually rendered redundant.thanks to Mamie ,who has made my life a living hell.

The new development have heard now is that a new accountant has been employed,even his recruitment process has been kept secret while other posts were advertised openly, my post was kept secret. i don't know my fate now,and i haven't gotten another job.i know it is only a matter of time before am shown out,all tanks to Mamie who practically runs the office and has the final say. 

A lot of people have wonder how she wield so much power and influence over my boss. Mamie is not only taking my job,but my chance at happiness because  she already destroyed my relationship with an intending suitor (this one is another story).  SO MUCH EVIL.

I don't know if i should resign now before their plan is effective but the truth is that i am really afraid of the unknown. ''
