Majek Fashek Was On The Letterman Show In 1992?...OMG!

Majek was on the Letterman show?Freaking genius!

Somebody please pinch me!

Oh God what happened to your creation?why oh why!.
I pray to God in heaven that even as Majek ages, that GOD in his infinite Mercy will
restore all that the locust stole away.

Majek was a personification of talent, creativity, and hope. ....why oh why!

Please respect what this man stood for and do not waste your time cursing him out...what happened to him just shows that the devil is lurking around the corner waiting to steal and to destroy and unless you dedicate whatever success you have back to God,you are on the wrong lane!

GOD I bless you for your blessings!

  2. Oh how the mighty have fallen! I feel a "never been" is better than a "has been". There's usually more pity associated with the latter. I feel so sorry for him. What a waste of talent, what a wasted life. C'est dommage!

  4. It wasn't the devil that stole his talent.. It was crack cocaine! People beware!! You start of with cigarettes, then progress to weed (aka igboh, kpoli, smoke, weewee, goof, wailers etc, then its on to a lil bit of crack or herion(gbana), and then its on to the rest of them. Beware, it is the so called people with "strong head" (people that have high tolerance) that go on to stronger and stronger drugs. So, for any young man/woman out there that gets too high after just a few drags of weed (light headed, no fit carry), don't envy your friends who seem to smoke wrap after wrap of weed with nothing happening to them (no shaking, still compose). It is your genes (and probably your ancestors) preventing your from exploring drugs any further. Also, check your family history on both sides; has any uncle/aunty/father/G.father etc gone mad in the past? If yes, then its probably likely that you have the predisposition in your genes, so you don't wanna be stressing your brain unnecessarily with drugs.

  16. I remember driving through a rural part of America in the mid nineties and hearing the radio DJ excitedly announcing a Majek Fashek show in a nearby town. It was a beautiful thing. Look at him now,,, People must respect their bodies. There is no spare.

  17. SDK, tears streaming down my eyes.GOd restore Majek, please ! I used to spend hours listening to his songs in the past. All these wanna-be kiddos are mere child's play compared to Majekodunmi FAsheke in his hey days. Majek but why!

  18. I've always loved Majek. As a kid, I memorized his songs. I thought he was the most handsome man in the world and told my mum I was going to marry him. His matter always gives me concern. I was happy when I heard Oshiomole rehabilitated him but sadly, he relapsed. I wish he could be sent to a good Rehab centre in US. If Lindey Lohan, Charlie Sheen and others can live relatively normal lives, he can make it too.

  28. I've been avoiding this post, I'm so happy I opened it this morning, I got to watch that video again, I used to watch it on tv when I was a kid, I didn't even get the lyrics till today, so deep! God can still raise him if only he would allow him.and who knows maybe he would still churn out inspiring jams from his low moments.
I shed tears, infact I've been crying since morning, 1st was watching "the quarterback" episode of glee, then that woman that prayed for her son's murderer now this, I hope I'm not depressed, I cry at everytin both good and bad.
