  2. It's so scary , please something should be done to sanitize this area. You suffer from immigration, no light, leaking roof & then these people ready to sell you .

This Dele momodu needs to keep shut for once. He specks ill of his country and return to ghana to praise them like he's not a Nigerian. This is a common situation you encounter in most international airports all over the world. I wonder why he's making it look like our's is less different.

  7. @Princess Charming ,thanks for the comment, whether people believe it or not,Dele Momodu is one of the people who destroyed this country when he was still looking for leverage with his ovation magazine(before every other person started their own magazine). He promoted all these people in government who in turn gave him millions, now that he is no more on their page(s) ,he cries woes on the internet everytime he travels like other Nigerians. So many people travel through airport who don't shout out everytime.I am not saying our leaders are doing well but many of us manage and I know GOD will fight for us not Dele Momodu.I don't have anything against him but he gets on my nerves when I see comment like this. Here in the UK some residents have been in darkness since Monday, and when Cameron visited the area,a woman asked him why they have been in darkness.Systems fail everywhere, and he has the advantages most people don't have. The airport is the least of worries(sorry)when some people in Lagos didn't even have electricity for Xmas.

    1. God bless you. Just last week amidst the freezing weather Toronto was in darkness, some people still don't have light . Many had to move to hotels to shower and keep warm. Having said that, it's all part of his campaign strategy... He still believes he can be president in Nigeria. Watch out for his 2015 campaign.

    2. Oh wow! So u want to compare not having light to an airport like this? Maybe just maybe when you return to NIGERIA n you witness this and they tell you the money to reconstruction it was used to buy 2 unwanted bullet proof cars probably you will feel the same. At least the prime minister went to them where is the aviation minister. Please don't compare Uk to Nigeria abeg.

    4. I feel bad for the youth of this country, Dele has not said anything wrong he only said what most common Nigerians say everyday without being published by blogers.I'm surprise that you guys are commenting from abroad, is this the kind of airport you arrived in?

    5. Mumu people all over the place. Some of you are so used to rubbish. Since you don't travel round the world, you wont understand Dele's complaints. Imagine comparing a temporary power outage as a result of natural disaster to Naija's case of permanent darkness.

Too much suffer no good for body. Una don dey used to rubbish

  8. Its bad.....oh well..try using the commercial vehicles if u can't stand the bedlam...only bedlam(whatever that means) not even that the runway is not good. better still tell the minister.this is Nigeria. Every sector is managing...endure.

  9. Typical Nigerians..Prince Charming and all....
Have you ever travelled out of the country to see how other Countries airport are like? How can Nigeria's airport be acceptable? Whether Dele Momodu points it out or not...it is a very embarrassing situation...I always tell people to try and get to Nigeria in the morning..cos landing in the afternoon or evening is definately not safe...I agree it's like a jungle..it's scary..and needs to be addressed ASAP!...

  10. Mr Momodu seems to me to have friends in high places or so he purports. Rather than Instagraming or venting via social media….let him speak into the ears of the powers that be. Just my opinion.

  18. Very true esp if u are arriving from a country where every nook and cranny is lighted up at night u can't even know d difference!
African leaders travel always and are cool with this:there motto must be:'keep them in Total lack so they can continually be subdued'!
As for Dele Momodu,he should STFU!shei he interviews them whenever he wants to feature them on ovation?he should use his Platform and advice them to change if he's dat crious *rme*!he can be next Mandela!

Seriously if u follow him on twitter and intargram, u go tire for the guy. Always complaining never provides solution/a way out. Yet he fits in comparing Nigeria to ghana. The whole of ghana that is the population of Lagos.

  19. And Nigeria immigration adds to this matter too! They just wait around the arrival exit and search everyone bag(s) so u can imagine the queue... while over there nothing like that! The US airlines hands you form if u have anything to declare, u indicate and all bags go thru scanning b4 it sent to where u pick up ur bag(s). But here, manual search looking for egunje whether things u bought are for personal use or gifts (dem no wan know)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree with u. Especially when u are travelling for d first time the immigration will ask u to wet your passport after they have ransacked your box. If u don't drop money they will delay u and that's how u pay till d last point. Coming back is another war. Custom will search your luggages looking for contraband. And the airport is truly nothing to write home about!!!

Lol.....Prince Charming you dare to display your ignorance? Please name all the airports you have travelled through....liar liar pants on fire..
anyway back to the matter make Tory for no lost, last time I came in through the airport I waited about 2 hours just to get my luggage......that's after cueing for like an hour to stamp passport at immigration, it's totally annoying and we pray things get sorted ASAP

  21. You fools talking about no light where u went in the UK and Canada what was the cause of the black out? Are u daft? Can you tell me you actually live in the uk and you have people without light that is not caused by not paying light bills, storm or faulty something? They do not have it perfect out there but they try to make things work...people pay their taxes and the govt plough it back into the system......what do you enjoy from the taxes you pay here? Pls if you don't like the messenger don't come her and talk cheap lies I the name of countering anything......we are here talking of airports.....is it gatwick or HeAthrow that you want to compare? Even in Africa how many airports can Nigeria boast of being better than yet we are richer than most of them.....

  22. 25. At anon#19, that situation was brought on by weather, nobody can control mother nature. The situation in MMA is not an act of God, it is a daily occurrence. However, I still think the airport is of a lesser priority; money should first be spent to uplift the hospitals, schools, basic infrastructure and most importantly, job creation. I would prefer to arrive in a country with a crappy airport that have things together otherwise, than arrive at a plush airport, but after you leave it you're in bedlam.
