Heartbroken ke! Please don't disturb yourself. I've found condoms in my husband's bag he take take to work, rolls of them. Like "me" said, thank God he's even using condoms. I've been married 8 years. What I did after I found out? One night he wanted see, I calmly stood up, went to his bag and took out a condom and proceeded to put it on him. I just told him I'm sure they are for me, esp since I have IUCD in place and after 3 kids. He was shocked I even knew. Abeg, he's not worth ur heartbreak, you will find out soon enuf.

There is this radio reality program called LEAN ON ME, its being aired on capital fm 92.9 evry mondays at 10:30pm. This particular story ran for two consecutive mondays on this program. I actually cried when dis woman narrated her story, how the husband ran away from home wen she eventually confessed to him abt the rape, how they planned to carry out sum spiritual cleansing cos of this act, how the culprit denied everything, he cldnt even defend himself when he was invited to the studio to exonerate himself,no b small swear the woman swear ontop this family friend o, the moral of the story is dat we shld trust no one. I am sure there wil b a follow up on this same story this coming monday.stay tuned. Yes the husband eventually forgave her but refused to return home until that cleansing is carried out. All I can say is dat I wish her well.

ReplyDeleteWow! This is really touching. Innocent and Ignorant woman. I can't really blame her for not screaming out for neighbours immediately it happened, even if that was the wisest thing to do. I bet she was scared and ashamed at the same time. It takes boldness and a self confidence to actually scream out or talk about being raped because of the stigmatization that follows. Maybe if the society is more helpful and understanding to rape victims rather than stigmatize them, people will be more bold to scream and report these cases. Very touching story. I cried many times for her. I pray God comforts her and restores her family. And for the man, may the good Lord have mercy on him cos this isn't funny at all.

That was how when I ws in benin, my landlady's son a doctor for that matter, entered my room when I was getting ready to go to work. We gist on a normal day and he is not usually based in the town. Only for the guy to fling me on the bed and pin me down sey today na today. Infact I almost died of fear cos I was not even his equal in strength. I had alrdy given up and told him to just get it done and get out. When he noticed I had relaxed in my struggle, he released my right hand so that he could unbuckle his belt. Mehn, I quickly raised my hand to hit him and he blocked it. The impact was bad and painful on my wrist sha. But I managed to stand up and ran to the kitchen and carried a knife. I told him if he came close to me, I would inflict serious harm and he will go back to the main house and explain how he got d wound. Useless men. And meanwhile he came with his wife who was waiting for him to come and eat breakfast. Smh
