It's okay to give gifts and lend support either ways male - male or male - female or female - female and YES. Female - Male
I think the right approach should be by a defined objective and intent for purpose.
But giving the matter at hand, I am a man and have lend support and given gifts even in foreign currencies to females I had no intentions of sleeping with, a few I never even saw and a lot more I don't see again,
