Okorocha,Wamakko,Yuguda,Kalu Shower Cash On Igbo Muslim Converts...WTF!

Governor Aliyu Wamakko and his Bauchi State counterpart, Alhaji Isa Yuguda, both gave N5million each to Igbo natives who converted to Islam yesterday. Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and former Governor of Abia State Orji Uzor Kalu gave N2 million and N1million to the converts.

The event took place at the National Mosque in Abuja.
The Chief Imam of the National Mosque, who was represented at the ceremony, announced the cash donation. The converts who were all males within the ages of 25 and 35 years said they accepted Islam because it is a “truthful, peaceful and charitable faith.”

“I was attracted to Islam because of the truth it resonated in me, and I saw the charity of the faith which all its adherents find peace and solace in,” said Ibrahim Ukah, formerly Uchenna Ukah and a younger brother of a fellow convert, Tobechi Ukah, now Abdullahi Ukah.

The commencement of Friday prayers at the mosque was unusually late as the converts were given priority when Islamic rites were administered on them for 30 minutes.

The 18 men from the South-Eastern part of the country were led by the NTA Owerri host of “Islamic calling in Igbo language” Alhaji Muhammad Kabir Orjiegbulam alongside the Board of Trustees, Secretary of the Justice Mamman Nasir Islamic Centre for Peace and Research, Alhaji Ibrahim Biobo Nlomije....culled from leadership online

*People are hungry and with this largesse to the new converts, more people will embrace islam because of the cash...why give someone money because they change religion?.
Thumbs down!

  14. From my knowledge of the Holy Bible, I've never seen or heard that GOD condemned any religion that recognizes HIM as The SUPREME.

When Jesus was born it was only foreigners, who used their astrological interpretation to trace HIS location, that gave HIM gifts; symbolic and sacred Gifts. Where were the "sons of Abraham" with their gifts? When a man was operating with the name of Jesus in the presence of the Apostles, they begged Jesus to allow them stop him, but Jesus refused and rebuked them. Saint Paul encourages those married to "unbelievers" to keep their marriages. So why on earth, will people be yapping about which religion is saintly or devilish? How can you be trying to convince the world that Akpevwe is swallowing eba at home, when in fact he's swallowing pounded yam?

These men have chosen a path, a path that leads to The SUPREME. It's not in your place to weigh it up and condemn their practice; a practice that started 14 centuries ago. If you don't find the spiritual fulfillment in Christianity, why not Worship GOD through another means? It's a free world, enveloped in the Grace of GOD. Check out Jethro, Ballam, Lot, Nebudcadnezzer, Darius...they were uncircumcised men, but GOD never rejected their worship. For those of you who condemn muslims, take heed. Whether you like it or not, they serve GOD, and HE responds. Be Blessed.

    7. @Naturelle, your statement has readily condemned non-Christians. If we're to interprete what you've said: "No place in Heaven for Muslims, Jews, etc". In essence, all non-Christians are ending up in Hell Fire after they pass on. Really? I see...

  21. What I have noticed here is the ample of liberty Christianity offers. The Igbo governors obviously saw an opportunity to score some political points and they took it. Lets face it we are all at fault for politicising religion. On another note, is it just happenstance that these people(particularly the Northern governors) have never offered money to finding the people that have been killing Christians in their states yet they offer money to converts to Islam. Should we still wonder who are sponsoring boko haram?

I didn't belive it then cos I've never heard of it b4 bt after reading dis post ah na wao. God help us all.

  27. It's a shame that the news was not properly reported. Having been there myself to attend Friday prayers, let me clarify by saying that the cash donation was not for the reverts. It was donated to the television presenter not the people who embraced Islam.

Now I realise this might not be good news for some but a little clarification was in order.

May we all find guidance and forgiveness from The Almighty who after all is said and done is the ultimate Judge. Ameen.

  37. The 2 south eastern governors who allegedly did this did not reason well. Let the governors in the North East start relocating the churches that are being maimed. This has nothing to do with leadership. There are things that can never change in nigeria no matter how educated we become,or how much love we preach or oneses we preach, just like telling a muslim lady from kano to hug you out of excitment in share of sisterly love with no strings attached, for reciving a great news. this is attitude of being politically over zealous visionary with religion is not neccesaary to prove a point. We are Nigerians and we should lead based on the circumstances that created us.if your are a christian or musilim, which have conversion of faith as its end game as the reason why its preached, so what ever you do should be directed towards attracting anyone to your faith not propagating theres'. Like '"Go make a disciple of all nation". Everyone should be bound by what he believes in, avoid religous shopping in a bid to prove wisdom, enlightened one or being different its foolishness. South is known for chritianity and north for islam it should left that way. Persuiasion is only allowed for purpose of conversion, anyother acts that propagate oir gives undue merit or make the other competitive is wrong. By Thinker
