  1. This campaign is going to be difficult without solid backing from government. We're not in a developed region; this is Africa, where, sadly, a woman is treated as a woman, and not as a person. Most men won't speak up, no matter how long you drag this. Only the intervention of the government can produce meaningful results.

  3. My people please be aware that its not just women that are abused men also are. Its just more common seeing men abuse women. Also abuse can be psychological not just physical. So babes dnt wait till he hits u, once he says words meant to break u and make u feel less than awesome...kick his ass to the curb!

  7. Hi Anonymous 5,
Domestic violence exists between people in a domestic relationship which includes husband and wife, parents and their children, boyfriend and girlfriend. The sad truth is that more light is thrown on spousal abuse in our society while parents to children abuse is ignored until it gets bloody. You need to report to the police insist on speaking to the senior officers not the ones at the counter. If you are in Lagos, you can reach us through the helplines above and we will talk to him. There is a domestic violence law in Lagos state and it covers you. You have to make it stop now because if he mistakenly give you a beating that goes beyond normal, it could become a criminal offence and he will be arrested. a woman was put to jail recently for setting her househelp on fire and another man was arrested for inflicting marks on his child because he was teaching her a lesson.
We need to draw a line between spanking children and being brutally wicked.

  8. Nothing will ever work in that country, Nigeria is a fuck up country. We need to just go back and ERASED AND REWRITES THE LAWS AND THE CONSTITUTION. DISSOLVED THE SHAMLESS CONGRESS, ELIMINATE THE PRESIDENTIAl POSITION ALL HIS CABINETS AND MINISTERS, then returns the Declaration Of Independence that was sighed in the 60ties back to the British. I am short of words right now.
