ReplyDeleteThose Russian soldiers before the battle really got to me. You can feel the tension, anxiety, uncertainty, fear; all being fought against with prayers and battle cries. Those men were brave. I learnt over 200,000 died. Brave men. World War II was really bloody.
ReplyDeletePicture 26 brought tears to my eyes. I decided to Google more on the boy,
ReplyDeleteDiego Frazão Torquato.
Diego was Brazilian, and a member of the group
Afro Reggae. This photo was taken at the funeral
of Evandro João da Silva, a mentor and
coordinator for the group, who was killed in an
assault in October of 2009 in Rio De Janerio.
Diego died in March of 2010 from complications

ReplyDeleteThis pictures touched the deepest part of my heart. It brings to mind the futility of life. The quest to gain the whole world makes one forget to show love to people that have given up so much for us...abeg let me go and call my family and remind them how much they mean to me...tnx sdk for this lovely piece
ReplyDeletePriceless Pictures!!!! Brought tears to my eyes...... Well-done Stella. May God Bless U.

ReplyDeleteProfound pictures & heart tugging...Life is nothing; Yet it is EVERYTHING
OMG!
DeleteThe two graves of a catholic and Protestant. We still have that difference in us today. After so many years , I still hear people say, "I'm from an anglican family and can't marry a catholic" and vice versa. When will people realise its one heaven?one God? It doesn't matter if u pray tge rosary or speak in tongues, what matters is how you have lived for christ.........
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are heart breaking.
So touching. Can't stop the tears. To think Diego died too? So sad. The dog that refused to leave his masters' grave, the hugging couple, the falling man(several men and women jumped off the world trade centre to their deaths). So so touching. Please let's try to touch the lives of others no matter how small. God bless us all.
