Tinubu's Daughter Folashade To Be Installed Today As The Iyaloja Of Lagos.

                                               Folashade recently celebrated her birthday.

Today, Folashade Tinubu Ojo will be installed as the Iyaloja of Lagos and the President General of the Market Men and Women of Nigeria.

The installation will take place at Iga Iduganran, the palace of Oba Rilwan Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos.

Folashade is the first child of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State and national leader of APC. Her appointment in July 2013, was witnessed and endorsed by market leaders of all the 57 local governments in Lagos State.
Before her appointment, Folashade was the Deputy President General of the Market Men and Women.

The installation will commemorate the 70th birthday of Oba Akiolu today. As a mark of honour, all markets in Lagos State will be shut down today.

The colour code for the event is purple gele on yellow lace. King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall will entertain guests

  6. Shade is not the first child. The first child is Jide. No the Tinubu's do not own Lagos, they are just hardworking, focused and dedicated people. The family history suggests that they have been instrumental in the rise of Lagos, right from the days of Saka Tinubu who used to rent out buildings to Lagos state to be used as prisons. They are land owners and have historically always been involved in the development of the state.

  16. So the Yorubas can't tell the Tinubus to go to hell! why do they depend on them so much for everytg? why can't they call his bluff? he's using tribal psyche for them and they all fell for it! so all these poor market women are contributing money for the Tinubu's family. He collects greater part of our taxes and still wants the market women money, what has he done for Lagos state? only Fashola is doing everything. What a greedy man!!

  21. For those of you that do not know, the Title iyaloja is a position among the hierarchy of chiefs in any yoruba town or village and the appointment is usually by birth. However their are honorary iyalojas.
