Kidnappers Abduct Oronto Douglas’ Sister In President Jonathan's Community In Bayelsa

                                        Oronto during his Father's burial

A sister of President Goodluck Jonathan's Special Assistant on Research and Strategy, Mr. Oronto Douglas, was kidnapped by gun men on Monday night in Ogbia, the President’s Local Government area in Bayelsa State.

The victim, Augusta Douglas Ayam, who runs a shop at her residence in Ogbia, is reported to have been picked up in her home by the abductors.

The kidnappers were said to have arrived, shooting into the air to scare people away.  They then seized Augusta and took her away in a boat to an unknown destination in the creeks.
Sources at the Joint Task Force headquarters in Yenagoa confirmed that the incident has been reported.
A manhunt for the kidnappers has been launched.

A family spokesperson, Gift Douglas, also confirmed here that Ms. Augusta was abducted stating that the kidnappers have not contacted the family.

*Does it mean that kidnapping is now a job in Nigeria?they seem to be recruiting more people!

  2. A very big and lucrative business, when abductors pay handsomely for their freedom.Since nobody has been made a scapegoat, when politicians use it to intimidate their rivals, when wives also hide and claim been kidnapped and when our so called policemen dont do anything, hence they(kidnappers) have turned it into business.
God bless Nigeria and keep us away frm Kidnappers.

  11. that is very good, they need to chop inside the national cake one way or another.
Pastor Bakare said this in 2011,that it will get to a stage where the families of those destroying this country will begin to reap the fruits.
if they ensconce themselves inside aso rock lets see if they will pack their extended family friends and acquaintances inside aso rock as well.
    you just start

  12. Do I trust these politicians? The answer is NO! They can begin to arrange to kidnap themselves and their family members to further loot the treasury. Don't be too shocked to hear "Ransom Allowance" sometime soon. Hisssssdd

  14. Good job! Kidnappers let those politicians (and their family members) that are killing the country's economy be your target at all times and nigerians will be solidly behind you, and pls spare the ordinary nigerians who are also suffering the impact of corruption orchestrated by some of these heartless politicians.
