16 Year Old Nigerian American Girl Among World’s Smartest 50

Nigerian girl, Saheela Ibraheem, whose name has been buzzing in the headlines lately as a promising talent, has reserved a place among “The World’s 50 Smartest Teenagers” list.

The young girl, only 16, made it to headlines earlier this year when she was accepted into Harvard University, making her one of the youngest students ever to attend that school.
Making a record in the US, Saheela was accepted at 13 other colleges, including prestigious MIT, the University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, Brown, Princeton, Columbia, and the University of Chicago.

In the end, Saheela chose Harvard, based on her seven-year-old brother’s advice who also dreams of being admitted to Harvard.
Saheela believes the key to success is knowing what you love to learn as early as possible, a knowledge she says she achieved at age five.
Known as polite and humble, the Muslim prodigy said that her Nigerian parents, totally supportive of the young scholar, sometimes taught her subjects the schools didn’t offer.culled

*How many parents these days actually take out time to teach their children?they have left all the work for the teacher to do and most times, these teachers need to be taught themselves.

  1. Most parents in nigeria either teach their kids to be corrupt by buying them certificate/ degrees or teaching the girls to use their breasts/ pussy to move ahead in life. Thats why a lot of so called graduates can grasp the english language, or give an intelligent contribution in a discussion, unless it concerns sex and materialistic shit. God help nigerian youths.

  12. You people should stop claiming her as a Nigerian because she is not.
Didn't you see where they wrote 'Nigerian parents'? In other words her parents are Nigerian but she is not.
Once they are born or grow up in America or UK people claim that place as where they are from.

  13. As at the time I was commenting I had read at least 16 comments. At least 12 of these wrote with horrible grammatical expressions; poor tenses and terrible spellings. We now have words like fink; shez;broada; g8, n, dem etcetera. Shame on you lot. Bunch of illiterate misfits.

  16. Until our "LEADERS" realize that the Nigerian child is naturally intelligent and begin to develop our institutions instead of destroying them (Along with ASUU) we will keep claiming people of Nigerian Descent as ours.

They read about how to make their religion modern by fornicating, being gay and dressing in obscene ways. I mean is that even christianity???? No offence oh.

Tell the teenager congrats and move on, ur 2cents was uncalled for. Look at her as a femle teenager 1st before you begin to judge her by her veil/ hijab. She is human, she is a girl, she is nigerian before she even is a muslim.
