According to a Dailypost Report The governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi was prevented from using one of the two entrances into Government House in Port Harcourt by a team of policemen branding order from a higher authority.
Rivers state Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mrs Ibim Semenitari,confirmed on Thursday that Governor Amaechi and no fewer than 70 visitors were denied access to his private residence in the Government House.
''The police blocked the road, the governor came down and identified himself, but they told him they had orders from the commissioner of police.Gov. Amaechi, therefore, had to go through a longer route to get to the Government House’’ .
Meanwhile The command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Angela Agabe, stated that the state commissioner of police did not give such order.
“I am aware that the state commissioner of police did not give such order to block the entrance leading to the governor’s residence.He did not do it and did not instruct our officers to do such a thing,’’

DeleteAmaechi was never barred from entering RSGH last night. There are 3 gates leading to RSGH, the said route the police blocked is very much close to the new PDP office the rebels opened. The route and the office was sealed up by the police acting on court injuction and of cos to prevent the break down of law and order. All what happened last night was stage managed by Amaechi to once again attract public sympathy and gain undue political advantage.

ReplyDeleteStella its very true, cause I was there before the Governor came, one of the policemen told me they saw some people hoisting the Nigerian & PDP flags in front of the building that severed as the campaign office for the Gov during the last election, so they received a call informing them that Ameachi & the new PDP members want 2 use that place as their own Secretariat. So they were asked to stop the Gov & his led faction of the party. My dear the blockage started from 1pm in the afternoon oooh, I had to park my car on the road & trekked to my house that was after l had spent over 3hrs they're walting 4 them 2 search me b4 passIng .

There are three entrances into the government house, the front gate, back gate and through the Deputy gov's lodge. What business does Amaechi have with entering the govt house through the back gate? Why will they open a secretariat for the new pdp close to Gej's house after the court stopped them from parading themselves as the new pdp? Has Amaechi entered the govt house through the back gate that is permanently locked. After going to welcome GEJ at the airport, he is acting all these drama to spite GEJ. Since the police stopped him from entering the govt house, did he sleep in your house. The 5 law makers have not been paid for the past few months courtesy Amaechi? Stella I hope you are benefiting from the 5billion Amaechi paid the press to publish articles in his favour?
