Anna Ebiere Banner
Miss World Megan Young
Anna was Nigeria's representative at this years Miss World ...Megan Young represented her country Philippines
Miss Young is no doubt beautiful thus clinching the crown this year but Anna Banner is equally as beautiful ..I dunno why Miss young won. *biting finger*
...Yes Anna is beautiful but she didn't make it to the top 10 .....
Please Silverbird, next time send a representation who truly looks African, beautiful miss Banner looks way too Chinko-ish.

If you watched, you will understand why Megan won and Miss Ghana was a runner up.
ReplyDeleteIts not by circulating photoshopped pictures. When those beauties are on the stage, real natural beauty and Presense stand out.
True!
DeleteMegan has a soothing albeit comforting look, while Anna has this serious, troubling what is wrong look
ReplyDeleteWhat do U mean by chinko-ish? U dont talk about human beings like that, does her look make her any less a Nigerian??
ReplyDeleteTufiakwa gi n ur mouth!!!!
Mumu try and understand a sentence before u pass judgement. Looking Chinko ish means she looks more like a chinese than Nigerian
DeleteDey support Stella blindly o, or weda na Stella dey comment?
DeleteAt least sm1else saw my point of view.
Stella, it is not only about looks. It is about talents, achievements, charitable works, and able to articulate, when asked a question. Anna lacked in those areas, she should had been taught all these before she entered for the competition. Also stella that was a racist comment " chinko", i thought you were an enlightened woman.
ReplyDeleteSdk u talk tru
ReplyDeleteAs much as I agree with your opinion, I want you to understand that is not always the most beautiful ones that win.
ReplyDeleteHow can she win? Is she polished? Well spoken? Sparkling with personality? She certainly didn't come across that way during the Silverbird MGBN that she won (through rigging and juju they jazzed Ms. Abuja who should have won). So how will she win on an international stage? Abeg. Yeye dey smell.
ReplyDeleteNigeria is not likely to do well in international pageants based on Silverbird. All the Murray Bruce's know how to do is to identify girls for them to knack silly and pimp out to their friends. They don't train, educate or support these women to further success on the international stage. A proper coach should be on retainer to teach these babes how to walk, how to answer questions intelligently, how to think on their feet, how to present themselves in the best most possible way. If we ever get another win like Agbani, it will be despite of not because of Silverbird.
Can you people stop this criticism???Anna is beautiful. Silverbird chose her! Let us focus on our Miss Universe delegate and hope she does well instead of crying over spilt milk!
ReplyDeleteEven Miss World is still arrangee. That is how most pageants are. We still love you Anna.
from the moment i saw the calibre of girls in that competition i knew anna wouldnt make it far.she is beautyful anyway but she doesnt have that thing someone like agbani had in 2001.
ReplyDeletei totally rooted for that ghana girl.she is a prettey african lady and wonderfully made.and she made it to the top three!
Wen I saw d first pic, was shocked to c Anna as d tag. Had to scroll up n down to confirm dat she wasn't d Phillipine chic.
ReplyDelete@ aunty Stella, u took d words out of my mouth, she looks Asian. The judges couldn't have noticed, d name no even help matters. Anna Banner.
(IMO: I dnt knw y parents do dis, u knw u hav a family name dat doesn't sound African yet u give dem oyibo first names. Dey should hv given her just Ebiere Banner.) Too much of oyibonizing no good oh.

ReplyDeleteAnna is fat, not tall enough and when it comes to world pegeants dey look beyond your beauty, u must hav brains 2...Anna didn't even make top 20.......that's what happens when we are biased in our selection
ReplyDeleteAnna is no doubt beautiful, but it goes beyond the beauty
ReplyDeleteWell said stella.agbani was perfectly african
ReplyDeletePraise d lord......, 1st to comment space booked.
ReplyDeleteNa Linda blog u think say u dey where una go dey fight for first to comment? Abeg shine ur eyes, dis na Stella's blog ooo.
DeleteIn as much as Anna Banner is truly a beautiful girl, we have to understand that beauty is nt the main factor at play here, you have to have the carriage, the confidence and most importantly the " look" that your heritage is best known for, that's why miss ghana went far. Nonetheless tho Anna Banner you win some you loose some. Ginger
DeleteMe sef been wan talk am o,lol! Mak una no dey use oynbo skin again o,maybe a black skinned pesn wld hav helped abi?lol. Pls dnt cuss me out o,jus saying#okbye#
ReplyDeleteThat's wot d Bruce gets 4 playing ojoro
ReplyDeleteSo true, the Nigerian rep looks 'Chin-Chon'
ReplyDeleteShe really Iooks Chinese
ReplyDeleteStella ask yourself why Miss Ghana came third. These judges want to see a black skinned beauty from Africa. Anna is pretty but blended so well with the rest especially the ladies from the Far East. She did not stand out.
ReplyDeleteYes,so true. She looks so Chinkoish, maybe her popsy came from that side.
ReplyDeleteWow.. She definitely looking dapper or stunning.
ReplyDeleteAunt Stella is not all about beauty hi an brain and lot of physical challenges that is done
ReplyDeleteI really do not understand why Anna Banner won MBGN, she is very beautiful, striking, elegant and brainy however she doesnt meet the height requirement for the Miss world competition( maybe MBGN tho), its important for the organisers of MBGN to narrow their selection on the total requirement(especially the height) and not just the face. Its necessary to that the MBGN is see as both a local winner and a potential world winner which i do not see in Anna Banner.. Miss Imo would have been a better contestant at the Miss world competion... See miss Ghana#black, tall, pretty# fair African girls most times donot stand a chance to win Miss world... check the history
ReplyDeleteAs in ehh
ReplyDeleteI tire oh
Just way to asain if u ask me
There absolutely nothing African about her whatsover if u as me
~ stella's biggest fan
* Asian I mean
ReplyDelete~ stella's biggest fan
Exactly...can't u see aw miss ghana looks, black n beautiful, dey sent anna dah is outta african look, nigeria eeeh,
ReplyDeleteStella ur mouth no go kill u.
ReplyDeleteLmao
ReplyDeleteSDK na Wa for u oh. So cos she looks Chinko-ish na why she no win? Its not a fair statement at all. Am saying this on behalf of all the Chinko looking African girls out there.
ReplyDeleteBeauties!!!
ReplyDeleteYu go fear "representation" na..lol stella!I greet you ma!
ReplyDeleteStella its obvious u didn't watch miss world 2013 if u did u wouldn't be comparing anna banner with Megan. Anna banner is only beautifu but megan is more beautiful than Anna, she has d body, height and very intelligent. She was very active during her stay in indonesia, she participated in all the challenge events and made it to the top ten in almost all of them, she even won one of the challenge events- top model. As for anna I only saw her once, she was inactive, I guess she was suffering from inferiority complex cause most of d girls were very talented and smart. The runner up- Miss france is in medical school and also the 2nd runner up miss ghana she's also in medical school. Miss Nepal who won 'beauty with a purpose' is a dentist. These girls are enlightened and not mediocres, Anna banner is a mediocre!
ReplyDeleteAnna never stood a chance of making it to top 50. Miss world is different from MBGN, beauty is not d only criterium in Miss world.
SDK, if being black defines african beauty, and being Chinko-ish is a sideline issue, then what will we call girls from North Africa who are definitely not black? Fake African beauties?
ReplyDeleteLol you're so right, even Egypt is African
DeleteWell the ofganizers of mgbn should know by now that its not by being yellow that makes u beautiful. Organizers of miss world believe any contestant from black Africa should be dark skinned.
ReplyDeleteAll dis pple talkin abt fair skinned, chinkoish, yellowish etc shud shut U̶̲̥̅̊p let's hear abeg..... All d oda gals dat went afta agbani darego wîД d̲̅ε̲γ̲ all fair??? So hw come d̲̅ε̲γ̲ dint cum bk wit the crown??? Take Ɣ☺ΰя tym and ask Ɣ☺ΰя self †ђξ real ques abt wats missin in dis nigerian gals..... Its actually d brains and lack of proper grooming, complexion Ȋ̝̊̅§ just nt an attribute to ha failure...
ReplyDeleteStella please shut your mouth.....what rubbish are you vomiting from your mouth? if she is a Nigerian who bloody cares about whether she is what? whether yellowish or not if you are Nigerian then you are Nigerian....the same stereotype bullshit we complain about others is what you are doing.....after you will be complaining about racism yet you have the guts to say she looks chinkoish......its this kind of stupid attitude that encourages discrimination to mixed race people and you should stop it.....your comment is very insulting and immature...
ReplyDeletethe comments here about her not winning because she looks Chinese is rude, disgusting and a total shame on you all.....how dare you do the same thing you accuse the white people of doing to blacks......if you say she does not deserve to win because of height, beauty or any other qualities fine but cos she is not African enough is utterly stupid.......it is not her fault she is light skin and pretty.....Stella you should be ashamed of your ugly self for even making that kind of comment.......she is a Nigerian and that is the only qualification she needs..do accuse the whites of racism when you are all here doing the same bloody things......fools
ReplyDeleteMs Banner...calm down,e dey pain we knw. Lmaooo
DeleteSilverbird aren't getting it right.
ReplyDeleteMBGN used to be held in March; so they had enough time to groom the queen before she is sent out to rep the country.
But what do we have these days? This year contest was held in July(last year was in May) and Miss World 2013 held in September; tell me how Anna would have properly groomed?
I don't think Silverbird is interested in sending a rep that would do Nigeria proud.
Apart from:
1. Agbani Darego who won Miss World 2001 making her the first African(I didn't say Black but AFRICAN) to win.
2. Anita Uwagbale-Iseghohi, MBGN 2004. She reached the top 15 semi-final of Miss World 2004 and was named African Continental Queen of Beauty.
She paved the way for future MBGN winners to participate in Miss Tourism International after the organisers were impressed with her performance at Miss Universe 2005 contest.
3. Omowunmi Akinnifesi, MBGN 2005 who won Miss Tourism 2005, all others haven't really been it!

ReplyDelete3:31 PM,
Thank you. When people say someone who reps Africa must be black, I'm like come on!!! Must we all be black before we can be called Africans?
Black has got lots of shades; light, dark, pot black, caramel etc-we are all black!!!!
@ anon September 30, 2013 at 3:31 PM you are the dumb one. Muna and Adaeze nko. Are they black?
ReplyDelete@ anon September 30, 2013 at 3:31 PM ignore my response. Your horrible fonts blinded me and I had to read again. Madam SDK, you fit delete both comments.
ReplyDeleteThis photo of her is SERIOUSLY PHOTOSHOPPED!!! she has a much bigger nose, is short and fat....how could she win
ReplyDeleteStella of life. Na steal lift u lift this story come summarise am. Just saw the same contents but u summarised on a new blog, btw, its an older post. See if am lying. http://t.co/BXKQ2wCEdJ I dare u to post this madam.
ReplyDeleteI think we should cut her some slacks. I watched the whole show and most of the girls where selected based on her educational backgrounds (favorably medicine), talents, volunteering and above all self confidence!
ReplyDeleteVolunteering is the key word.
*thier*
DeleteI wish i could write in LARGE CAPS for all to see but what does it matter anyway. I watched Miss World on E entertainment and suffice it to say i didnt even see Miss Banner at any point it time. I kept cheering Miss Ghana on. she not only did Africa proud, but the black in general.
ReplyDeleteMISS BANNER WHAT IS HER HOBBY??? DID YOU SEE THOSE LADIES SINGING OPERA? DID YOU THE CANADIAN LADY DANCING ETC. THOSE GUYS ARE NOT JOKING AT ALL. YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO COMPORT YOURSELF AND HAVE A SPARKLING PERSONALITY. ANNA HAS A PRETTY FACE BUT LACKED ALL OF THAT. I DIDNT WATCH MGBN BUT I HEAR SHE IS NOT EVEN ARTICULATE. WHAT ELSE DO YOU EXPECT??? PLEASE SILVERBIRD STEP UP YOUR GAME OR SHOULD MISS NIGERIA HELP YOU GUYS???
Daz d evidence of pagent rigging in Nig.she tink sey na bayelsa b dis.com bak joor an continue ur imposed SA work (personally) to seriake dickson.
ReplyDeleteFake personality....smh
