  4. OMG.

This rubbish still exists in Nigeria.

When I see the Naija-University-budget allocated to Public primary schools in my adoptive Country, I just thank God.

Something is fundamentally wrong with our DNA as a people. I mean one wealthy man in that area can turn round that school, not to talk of the LG. Yet, there are several churches, NGOs, charity organizations busy ammassing wealth, who have turned a blind eye

    Big Shame

  5. Also remember the "subsidy" that Dilish bragged on international television that you sponsored for her...

  6. Damn! Aunty this is sincerely heart wrenching... I never knew things like this still existed in schools in Naija, Those children need serious intervention. I pray gov Oshiomole sees it sha>>

    1. Yes, we do know our leaders are not living up to expectation but does that warrant you calling them 'animals'?
Our leaders need to be called to caution. This is so heart breaking! May God help this country. I just don't know what the future holds.

  11. SDK have you noticed that each time you put up a story about the government you get an average of 20 comments, compared to the other stories that get 50-200? That's because most of us are tired of talking about it. But don't stop, so that the biased ones can always have their eyes reopened to the realities on ground.

  12. It's worrisome that anyone who becomes Governor of Edo state, goes gaga and forgets good intentions hitherto harboured for the Electorate before election. These days, Osho Baba just hops into his helicopter from Govt house Benin, and takes off to where ever! That's the only way he can move around as he has amazingly decided not to fix the roads.Routes where rehabilitation commenced in his first term, ve been abandoned without explainations or apologies! Adams has gotten his second term. Now its time to consolidate the massive looting.I Still recall how Edo people wept for joy when he won the seat in court. Now they lament everyday. No dividend of democracy there.Multiple taxation is his motto. Why ban okada in a state where cars can't wade through failed portions of what were once trunk A stretches? Old people living in remote areas pass out from exhaustion, walking long distances to major roads.Tricycles(keke marwa),he says can't be an alternative! This fake activist just gets high, parties with sychophants and has 3somes with very young nubile girls without considering the plight of those who placed their trust in him! The part that kills the spirit of the people is that,he has no plans to amend his ways. He can't be bothered! The state can be swallowed up by all types of erosion and its cool;as long as the show of shame called enjoyment that goes on in his world continues in its sickening tempo. Damn you Oshobaba!!! Signed wide eyed!

  13. That man is a scam worst than Lucky Igbinedion. Schs buildings painted while d inside of d classes didn't changed from it were be4 his govt. road projects abandoned, hospital buildings abandoned, when it rains, all roads are blocked n u better be ready to walk home or sleep out bcos d roads r bad n no bikes allowed. I'm sure d flowers he planted for d benin people r providing jobs for them and d water fountain he built in ring road is enough for them.

  17. Is the guv.supposed to do everything? Is it a state or private school? Where is the proprietor of the school? Why open a school if you don't have infrastructures? Pls let's not blame everything on government.

  19. Do not be coy Stella. He has done a lot as far as education is concerned in Edo state. You want him to cut off his eyes ni for an oversight? What makes u so sure he hasnt allocated money for the refurbishment of d skool? Acknowledge what he has done education wise b4 uttering such empty statements as to y he was elected..

    1. U be mumu, wats wrong in delegating people to oversee the projects u claim he has given money for?

  20. Chai. Upon the level of dilapidation, the school still has 2 names.

I trust Comrade Governor to take action. The Commisioner for Education in Edo state should be sacked.

    ReplyDelete
  21. There u go. U see, all that these politicians know how to do is to freaking show off. He was quick to grant the jackie chan wanna be boy that jumped the plane a scholarship. Which I commend by the way...

But here he has this close to home? Didn't they say 'charity begins at home?'. Even public schools should NOT be subjected to this sorts of gross neglect by the power that be. Rather than to have bench and desks atleast, they have bunches of broom, which am sure the students paid to buy. And am certain that all they go to school to do is to sweep and wash toilets, that's all. No academic activities bcos their teachers are hungry too.

And bcos their teachers have been subjected to abject poverty without their salaries, they also resort to petty money requests for this and for that from parents, just to sustain themselves by the day.

As for Gov Osiomole. I had always nurtured tremendous respect for his person when he was still a staunch activist with a conscience. Am not Edo, and am not implying that he's not doing the needful as the executive gov of that state. But I noticed that the enthusiasm which was synonymous to his character has been diluted greatly. I expect that the passion to fully emancipate the oppressed minorities should be his watch word, more-so now that the opportunity has come, being a gov.

Or wasn't that the essence of his passion ab-initio? Pls sir, I hope u heed to the needs of these ones ASAP! We do not wish for these kids to start to give speeches in future about having had 'no shoes'.. like someone we know.

  22. Forget the political tornado that is hitting Gov Amaechi,he has done really really well for the educational sector in Rivers state. You need to see the primary schools here. For the sector to move positively in any state two things are involved:
    1) A gov who really wants to radically change the sector for the better
    2) A Commissioner of Education that KNOWS his/her onions, and who really, really wants to see a positive change.
There are other things involved bt these are the 1st two

    1. Yes oo,im a deltan, but the last time I was in rivers state was marveled by the schools, kudos to gov amaechi on that

      Delete
    2. Hhahahahah, let me laff @ ur comment on Ameachi. These schools accomodate only 30 pupils per class, a public school will only abt 3arms per grade, the rest which they call overflow are sent to town halls where they sit on d floor to learn or carry plastic chairs on their heads to and fro school everyday. If u doubt me come to woji. U will see pry 1 and 2 at elijiji town hall, pry 3,4,5&6 @ rumuibekwe town hall. Some of them under the sun. Don't be decieved by fine buildings.

  26. It's disheartening that all our male leaders are always accused of having amorous affairs with young girls. Is this a curse on our nation? I came to that conclusion by reading some comments above. In my home State(Anambra), as a build up to the forthcoming elections about 18 LGA Chairmann lodged in a hotel close by house and by night time, girls were trooping in to warm their beds as I learnt from a friend who works in the hotel. We live in a Country where everything is taken for granted and we lack moral values and integrity. A man cheating on his wife with multiple lovers in every single hotel he lodges isn't worthy of being a leader but alas, nothing will be done so long as money goes around and we keep being backward as a nation. A high ranking officer in the US (Gen. Petraeus) resigned just cos his amorous affair leaked but such will never happen here yet we are the most religious.
Also even if Govt has failed us, what about our billionaire pastors who have excess money that they buy exotic cars and jets? Why can't they uplift schools in remote areas rather than offering the lame excuse that they need to spread the Gospel to Countries abroad....which arre much better than us in moral values.
    *Mike

  28. Gov Oshiomhile has turned from the saint he wanted to be to just another typical Nigerian random politician if not worse. Nothing has happened since he won the second term elections. Now he blackmails the masses, everyone who voted him sincerely regrets it. I live in Edo state and I'm pained that the comrade gov. can easily turn a blind eye.
