Official Pixs:---Nollywood Honours Omotola's #Time100.

In a First ever of its Kind Celebration, Actor's Guild of Nigeria celebrates Omotola.




The Actor's Guild of Nigeria headed by Iron Lady Ibinabo Fibresima elaborated African Movie Icon Omotola  for being enlisted as One of the most Influential people in the world by Times magazine.

Omotola wearing an Aqua green and black dress accompanied by her Wonderful Leading Man Capt. Matthew Ekeinde and their kids graced the First of its kind celebration which was hosted by veteran Actor Segun Arinze at the Oriental hotel ,V.I





The evening of Glamour and laughter had many Entertainers and friends of Nollywood coming out to appreciate and celebrate Omotola. Among the many guests were Fred Amata, Chief Wanle Akinboboye, Olisa Adibua, Rita domnic, Ini Edo Ehigwina and Husband , Keppy Epkeong Bassy and wife, Zeb Ejiro and wife, Emeka Ossai and wife, Kelechi Amadi Obi, Dimeji Alara and many others.

Actor Chidi Mokeme read her Citation which was greeted with a standing ovation and Elvina Ibru and Alula Ibru performed. As well as Timi Dakolo and Funny bone, Charles Novia, Fred Amata and the Sheik Zeb Ejiro gave testimonials on Omotola.

It was a night of fun, food, dance and celebration.

    While I join others felicitating with the screen diva, I am also caught in between thoughts to ask about the rationale for including Omotola as one of the world's most influential figures. My reflection on my understanding of "influential" draws me to ask if she really merit the award. How influential? I am not putting this here to get comments of, hey you, go away with your bad belle or stuffs like that.....I am only asking in order that we can reflect on this and try to understand the merit and rationale of being an influential figure and in what ways or manners. This is just a thought. I want to learn.

    Congrats to Omo T. But seriously,wat qualified her for the prestigeous award? Am a big fan of Omo t, but I dnt think we shld let d award jst stick and remain with her,am of the opinion dat time magazine should make the qualification criteria public knowledge so others can step up their work in order to qualify,that way, we'll appreciate their choices better. It shouldn't be like the issue of BBA house mate selection that's being handled by just one person.
