Ali Hussain....He is Only 14yrs Old.

This 14-year-old boy has been left with the body of a 110-year-old in India because he has a rare disease which makes him age eight times faster than normal.
Ali Hussain has seen five of his siblings- two of his brothers and three of his sisters, die from the same condition called Progeria which is known to affect just 80 people worldwide...PLEASE I ADVISE VIEWING/READING DISCRETION FROM THIS POINT ON.

Sufferers are not expected to live much beyond the age of 14.
Life was made unbearable for him and his late siblings because of their disease, they were mocked in school and called names like ‘big-eyed boy’ and ‘Patlu’ meaning skinny.
Eventually they all stopped going to school.
But despite the grim prognosis Ali has refused to give up hope. Ali says:

‘I very much want to live and I hope there is medicine for my condition out there. I’m not scared of death but my parents have suffered a lot. I’d love to live much longer for them. I don’t want to burden them with any more pain..

We had each other (his siblings) but that was it. We had no life. When we did go to school we were pushed and shoved, called names, kids tried to harm us. We can’t do much physically either; our lungs are so small we get breathless easily.

I would love to be a normal person who can play, go to school, do some sports, take some risks. Sometimes I get depressed but most of the time I make the most of the life I have.’

Ali is now the family’s only surviving Progeria sufferer.
His parents Nabi Hussain Khan, 50, and Razia, 46, are first cousins and were the product of an arranged marriage 32 years ago.

Child victim: Ali Hussain is held by his mother Razia, 46. She has had eight children and six of them have suffered from Progeria

  3. Its very unfortunate that the little boy is afflicted with one of the world's weird medical conditions. Many thanks to the Bill Gates of this world who give their wealth to research diseases like this.

  11. Where are those that support abortion? This poor boy wants to LIVE out his life. The abortion supporters should come out and advice the boy and his parents on ways to end his life. Or better still, they can condemn this poor boy for his decision to live.

  12. Please abortion is an option please when rape is involved, when there is a case of incest, genotype issues(sickle cell) and most importantly this kinda medical conditions. This kids don't deserve to come and suffer all kinda things in this wicked world...sin or no sin let God be the judge I ve not seen anybody without sin,my only problem with abortion is the medical risk involve that's why I keep saying this:how much is condoms gold circle is N50 so please onye ga akpali amu should use one and save us all this pain... If you don't wanna get pregnant please apply rubber

  14. That's what u get when u marry blood relatives - people need to be educated and warned about the possible side effects n long suffering they will be putting their children through. Genetics cannot be changed

  16. I'm sorry to say but in-breeding causes stuff like this. The more diverse the genetic characters, the stronger the product. Diversity is essential for survival. #fact

  22. Perhaps it is as a result of inbreeding. I am not padding judgement so God please forgive me but marrying a close relative would result to having children with fatal health conditions.

  23. This in reference to Stella's post on abortion, wouldnt dat be better than having such a life and still die at 14years?after the putting the parents thru trauma financially, emotionally and otherwise.
For all the hypocrites and religious bigots, think!!

    1. Who's putting who through trauma? Do you even read a story before rushing to comment rubbish? The Boy wants to LIVE. He's happy. Nobody is under any kind of trauma here, ok? Continue playing God: "wouldn't abortion be better". Indeed. You should be the one thinking here. Read the story again.

    2. He wants to live yes?but the question is can he live?all the others that had to die wanted to live too!
U are the one not reading well, the life expectancy of the sickness doesn't go beyond 14yrs in most cases dat I saw clearly.
Btw wat makes abortion(in such cases) a different sin from the usual lil sins we all commit?we live by God's mercies.
Stop being too hypocritical and sentimental,
Face reality and be true to yourself.

    3. I hope you preach this sermon to rapists and murderers too, since you'll readily cover up the darkness of abortion by "stop being hypocritical/we're all sinners" stuff. Abortion is you trying to decide somebody's destiny by determining whether he lives or dies. It's plain murder. Let HE who creates life decide what to do with it. Stop playing god.

  24. This reminds me of the movie 'Paa', It is centered around Progeria. Stuff like this scare me *shudders*

@Queen Bee, progeria can't be detected before birth via regular prenatal tests.

The chromosomes r quite alike and will mutate.
