If You Are Buying A Ticket To Travel Abroad Please Read This Mail.

                          READ THIS FRAUD ALERT

''Dear Stella,

I figured to use your post has a contact to a thief and people beware. I will also appreciate if you do not edit my post (as in don’t remove all contacts that I will be included)

My cousin and I got annual leave from work, so we decided to travel abroad, different destination. I was going London in August nd cousin going USA in the month of July. My cousin got a travel agent through her husband and he gave us travel quote, after comparing about five other agents we decided to settle with her Agent. His name is Samuel Adeliyi. He quoted my cousin on a US trip for N245k Qatar Airline and Quote me N187k Emirate Airline. Samuel said he is out of town but we can deposit our money into his account before ticket fare changes. My cousin paid into Adeliyi Samuel Olajide, FCMB 0892360014, and his phone number 0812-267-9692, 08139209418. While I paid into his wife’s acct Eco-bank 3191046456 Ogunsina Esther Oluwakemi phone num 07055113658. Samuel sent us a confirmation email with our travel itinerary.

On the 26th of July 2013 my sister got to the airline to check-in only to be informed no ticket for her. There was a ticket issued but got cancelled by the purchaser for refund. She called Samuel all day but his phones where switched off. I called emirate and they confirmed no ticket for me too. After so much investigation with the help of facebook, we were able to locate him in Abeokuta. We went to Abeokuta with policemen to arrest Samuel and took him to the police station in Abeokuta, he promised and sworn to pay the funds the next day.

We never heard or saw Samuel again. 3 weeks later we went back to Abeokuta from lagos but met his wife Kemi Adeliyi, we arrested kemi who was weeping profusely asking that we please let her call her brother in the UK, the brother and mom got on the phone and promised to pay the money on Wednesday (before the Eid break) that we should please leave kemi for the sake of her children.

On Wednesday we started calling kemi but her phone was switched off, I called the brother in the UK  and I quote “I have spoken to Samuel, he said he will pay you next week after the break” and I said remember this was not our agreement, and he said “madam I am not the one that owe you neither did my sister, the husband is the one you should be looking for” yea I know, but kemi was our collateral.

It’s been 3weeks and no sign of Samuel. Please if you know Samuel help us out. He is a Winner Chapels member. We don’t knw the exact branch. There will be a generation curse on him and his family if we don’t get our money.

Samuel Adeliyi 0813 920 9418, 0812 267 9692
Kemi Adeliyi 0705-511-3658
Kemi’s brother UK (I took out his lyca phone number because this has nothing to do with him)

Visitors please keep in mind that kemi stays in Ibadan and comes to Abeokuta to visit Samuel during holidays. If we had held on to kemi the money would have been out.

Samuel uses this info/complimentary card BMC & TOURISM LTD. Bethany plaza. 5 quarry road opp ministry of works, Ibara Abeokuta.

Thank you all.''

*I tried severally all numbers in this email to get their own part and numbers were off,i tried the brothers number in the UK and he did not pick my calls after several attempts.*

  1. Winners Chapel? have you gone to his church to report him to his Pastor? Please keep chasing anyhow you can. What happened to going online to buy your ticket yourself? Or going to the airline's office to buy your ticket? Ticket agents are even expensive because they always add extra so they get a good commission. I hope it ends well.

    1. Not all ticket agents are expensive. Some are actually way cheaper than what you get from the Airline offices probably cus they purchase in bulk and have a special agent's discount but these are big travel agents. Mist times, before I purchase my tickets, I Ho to the Airline office to get the price, check online, check with wakanow, then check with my agent, agent usually gets me the lowest rates so it depends on what agent you use.

  2. You have been scammed. Emirates have an office in Lagos, so does Qatar Airways. You should learn to buy your ticket direct from the airline. Once again penny wise, pound foolish.

And your English, abeg polish am small. Did you translate directly from your native tongue?

    1. Some agents are actually cheaper than the Airlines or even what you get online. Those are very big agents with a reputation to protect. How can any right thinking person patronise an " I never Chop" agent? That's fool hardy.

  3. Stella, people should learn to buy tickets directly from airlines. Those who live in big cities like lagos and abuja can walk into the airlines office and get tickets. For others outside big cities, thank God for the internet, log directly to the airline sites and good thing is most of them make u pay via banks like gtb so d account can be confirmed as authentic. I stopped patronizing travel agents long ago and my advice is except absolutely neccessary,ps avoid dem. Thanks

Stella ,abeg you fit decode this dream for me? Sorry if it seems like am hijacking this post.

What does it mean if someone has a dream where some people dressed like osun worshippers, come into the person's house with an earthen pot containing just water, they are in a straight line and they sprinkle water in the person's house (still in the dream). The water touches the person and perhaps out of fear/whatever the person sort of starts trembling in the dream and then the leader of the group says
'' there is no spirit here, dont shake, if there was we will have known'' and the person then answers,'' I am pregnant!''

The leader of the group then faces someone at the back of the line and this time speaks an occultic language perhaps to seek for advice on what to do. The person at the back of the line responds in the same occultic language which strangely the person(who was having the dream) understood in the dream and was infact able to speak it but upon waking up, the advice and the language the person cannot remember, just the dream.

This is a tough nut to crack and am honestly confused, abeg help a sister here o!

  12. Stella unless this girl is your family member or a very good friend, I dont think you should have taken her story as gospel truth until you heard from both sides. Did you even check is the police ever picked any Samuel Ade-whatever or Kemi his wife before tarnishing their names? Calling the numbers and not being able to verify anything should even tell you, this may be a lovers scorned quarell or just a business deal gone wrong. I think you should have at least verified prior to posting this story. This is rather unethical of you. I am not saying the story is true or false but for you to post peoples names that may actually be real people without verifying info is just wrong. My take...

  14. Okay I am confused. Very sef....so the travel agent let you know where his wife and himself lives and still ran away with your money? and then his wife was where you could arrest her and did get arrested? but was let go. Even the husband was arrested and let go without paying you? are people so foolish to provide this much information about themselves when they want to steal from another person? why do I feel this narrator is just trying to damage a reputation? oro di hun

  18. My sincere sympathy goes to the victims. When things like this happen, blames are always appropriated. It has happened, it has happened, so it is to find solution now.

It's unfortunate, this travel agent is a fraudster. Some Nigerians use travel agents, because of work schedule and to avoid online scam also.

I hope he is apprehended soon.

He is already an accessory to this fraud. I am sure if you take it up to that level, your money will be out quickly. May the God Lord help you with your search.

In this 22nd century, I still wonder why people use all these travel agents when you can easily go online and book your ticket directly with the airline. No hassle. You get your confirmation instantly.

It's not like the travel agents prices are cheaper anyway.

  36. Hello all, there is nothing wrong in using travel agents, they are most likely to get you the cheapest fare available. Trust me!! I am an IATA certified travel consultant and also run a travel blog so i know what i am saying. However, you need to be very careful when dealing with middlemen in the travel industry. Mos of them are third party agents. They do not issue tickets directly, they need the help of an agency to do that. My advise will be that when next you are traveling, ONLY use an agency with IATA licence. Those are the ones that you can trust. Even if anything goes wrong, you can report them to appropriate authorities.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @Toluwase...travel agents in most cases will still get you the cheapest tickets.

  38. I log onto my computer and book on the airline's website. Print out itineray, walk into the recommended bank and pay; or I go to the airline office, handover my itineray and pay. THis is ALWAYS cheaper than what wakanow or any 'agent' would offer you. Period! In this day and age of Internet people are still defrauded when it comes to ticket booking? Nigerians should get educated in this area. Na wa o!

The ones that are expensive are middlemen between the travel agencies and you but you might not know. Try AEROLAND next time. You will be glad you did.
