Identical Twins With Same DNA In Court For Rape Charges.

The pair of identical twins have appeared in court charged over the rape of a woman

Mohammed (right) and Aftab (left) Asghar, from Reading, were arrested after DNA evidence taken from a rape scene linked the alleged crime with one - or both - of them.

Prosecutors have charged the two look alike siblings as they are unable to tell which one of them is the supposed sex attacker as even their DNA is the same.

  1. Was there no CCTV around that shows whoever did it around the area? I'm sure they don't also wear the same clothes everyday too.

  4. They have not been punished well. By the time they serve severe punishment, the truth will come out. But if they refuse to talk, both of them should do the time simple.

  6. For now, they need to look for other pieces of evidence to connect one twin to the crime.this is a tough area for police investigations. I have confidence, though, that scientists will figure out a way to tell identical twins' DNA apart someday.
If only they can obtain fingerprints or other physical evidence they were left on the clothes of the victim. Idenical twins do have different fingerprint patterns.

  9. I believe the DNA test was not properly done. Meanwhile Prof Faggae (ASUU CHAIRMAN) says FG is lying no meaningful progress have been made, that the 87b must be complete before they call off strike but FG says they will give 30b only. You see ASUU STRIKE isn't ending now bcos FG through SUSU (Suswam) is not sincere only prolonging strike to get more sitting allowance. GEJ, OKONJO, SUSU, PIUS ANYIM, RUFAI, LABOUR MINISTER ARE ALL WICKED!!! And LIARS!!! Belt me Next meeting will still end in Deadlock!!! And they will collect their sitting allowance and still tell us next week! Nigerian students speak out now

    1. I believe your thought. No two human can have the same DNA. Never possible. Are they trying to breach scientific facts. They need to do it again or try somewhere else.

  19. @Memphis almost every one has different DNA except for Identical twins, they are basically from the same egg so same DNA(pretty difficult to differentiate) As for finger prints, don't think so.
