RIP NANS STUDENTS!
WHAT A PITY!
The Senate President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Donald Onukaogu and four other students were killed in a tragic auto accident along the Umuahia - Ikot Ekpene federal road on their way to the University of Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State to intervene in the crisis that rocked the school yesterday.
This is really sad news and if only the VC had not mandated the students to pay extra monies, this would not have happened.
...If only the students had not peacefully protested
....If only the university security had not called in the policemen
...If only the policemen who intervened had not shot at the students and killed a few
....If only the situation in the country was a little different, provided for parents so they could provide for their wards and these wards didn't need to protest when they should be reading..
If only.........
I hope the VC of Uni-uyo will have a selah moment and look for a peaceful way forward.

ReplyDeleteAll u care about is to report unconfirmed stories. All ure concerned is to blame uniuyo's VC. Have u bothered to ask who shot first. I am a student of uniuyo and was in skool wen it happened. The students went there fully armed, it wasnt a peaceful protest like they are insinuating. The students shot first n destroyed properties and also looted stuffs before the police were called to quell the situation. So try n get ur facts straight.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! God have mercy!
ReplyDeleteVery sad. May they rest in peace. Amen
