Actor Paul Obazele has filed a suit against blogger Michael Chima Ekenyerengozi at the Lagos High Court and he is asking for N50 million for defamation of his character.
He claims Mr Ekenyerengozi is the owner and publisher of website www.nigeriafilms.com, a website which published a recent report about him going to the Minister of Aviation and pretending to still be the President of Movie Producers in Nigeria,a post which he no longer holds since he handed over to his colleague Zik Zulu Okafor.
Mr Micheal Chima Ekenyerengozi is filing a counter-suit against Paul Obazele for N800 million damages for falsification and wrong accusation against him.
Mr Ekenyerengozi is the publisher of www.Nigeriansreport.com

May In inform you that Mr. Paul Obazele, the past President of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP) in Nigeria has filed a suit against me at the Lagos High Court in Igbosere, Lagos, suing me for N50 million as the Publisher and Owner of Nigeria Films.com for a report he claimed I was the author as published on the website; on which he alleged I reported that he went to Princess Stella Adaeze Oduah, OON, the Honourable Minister of Aviation, Federal Republic of Nigeria to lie to her that he is still the President of Association of Movie Producers in Nigeria when Zik Zulu Okafor has already succeeded him.
Mr. Obazele also sued Mr. Fidelis Duker, the accomplished Nigerian filmmaker and Founder/CEO of the annual Abuja International Film Festival as the co-defendant for being the informant of his false claim which he has denied and suing us for defamation of his character.

Mr. Obazele erred, because I am neither the Publisher nor the Owner of Nigeria Films based in the Netherlands.
This case has only exposed the stupidity of Paul Obazele and his lawyer who know me personally and in fact lied to the court that they have made previous attempts to resolve the matter with me when they never did so and the last time I saw Paul Obazele was on Friday April 19, 2013, at the local airport in Lagos as co-passengers on an Arik Airlines chartered flight to Port Harcourt to join other invited guests for the 2013 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. And we met at the Port Harcourt International Airport on April 21, 2013, to board an Arik Airlines chartered flight back to Lagos after attending the AMAA. And the worst lie in his suit was giving the name of a lady I don't even know if she exists as collecting the original copy of the summons on my behalf on a date I did not know and at an address that is not my address. I only saw the notice of their suit pasted on the letter box of my office address at 1, Bajulaiye Road Road, Shomolu, Lagos, which is not the address of Nigeria Films.com.

Their suit is full of contradictions and lies.
My lawyer Barrister Biola Oladipo is already taking up the case to file a counter-suit against Paul Obazele for N800 million damages for falsification and wrong accusation against me.
