Big Brother Africa's Abby Plaatjes Is A Success Story

                                                                

 After an 85 day stint in the original Big Brother Africa Reality  Show in 2003, Abergail Brigette Plaatjies has moved on to much more than just being that crazy girl in the house....She is a big time celebrity in Tanzania.


 She has lived and travelled all over the African continent and the world, met dignitaries who have since passed on and dined with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.

 She has lived in villages, climbed tumultuous mountains and reached the top - and she is not stopping. 
She was the toast of Nollywood movie producers and she made a few movies.I remember years back,Abby had lunch with pressmen at  a press briefing in Surulere and I still have that picture where I was holding the largest piece of fried turkey ever with Abby laughing at me.LOL

Abby has decided to try her hand at producing despite having launched  her PR and events company in 2011, Black Ice Ltd, which has taken her to new heights involving fashion, brand activation and so much more.
                                                        

Now juggling motherhood, business,radio and getting her new project into perspective there is no stopping this 34 year old beauty.

When asked what her outlook for 2013 is regarding her career
 she eloquently replied: "I am currently at the top of my game and first place is what I'm seeking''

 

 Abby tells  the lessons she learnt from Big brother house and how she has applied these lessons learnt to the real world.
 She also explains  her present day job.........

 She told it how it is-

 '' The lessons that I learned from BBA Season 1 has been tumultuous in my learning curve regarding the entertainment industry as well as tolerating various personalities that I now deal with on a daily basis. Its a great stepping stone to break into your chosen career. I apply these every single day and of course learn more as time goes by. Everyday is a learning experience especially living in a country where you can also help shape the way you direct your career.

Currently I host the home drive show on Choice FM Tanzania. Its been quite a journey for me to get here but I have accomplished so much in the past 10 yrs.

 I am currently looking to branch my career out to the rest of Africa as I have all this experience and connections and just feel like I can do so much more. I know it sounds like alot as I already have so much on my plate, including being a hands on single mom of two. But when you are blessed with the ability to always want to achieve more I believe you should take the bull by the horns and go with it. Always stay hungry''.
