Meeting with industry leaders, Wall Street executives, philanthropists,
diplomats, members of Congress and some news media, Linus laid out a compelling
story of a fast growing entertainment sector in Nigeria that presents viable
investment and partnership opportunities for the US investor community.
Each
meeting generated great enthusiasm and fascination with this young man who is
the Founder/CEO of Del-York International, a company that, three years ago,
struck an exclusive partnership with the New York Film Academy to send its best
filmmakers to Nigeria for several weeks each year to conduct one of their most
intensive hands-on training programs.
In the two
years, over 60 lecturers from the New York and Los Angeles campuses of the
academy have been flown into the city of Abuja and Lagos respectively, training
650 young Nigerians from across the country in various skills in filmmaking and
music video production. The third of such training session is planned for
May 2012.
