Otimenyin was appointed as the 49th CP of the State on January 16, 2025. She took over from CP Peter Umoru Ozigi at his retirement on January 25, 2025.
The new CP Agbonika was until his deployment to Edo State, the Commissioner of Police (Mounted Troop), Force Equitation Officer, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
He has been charged to be proactive and to settle down quickly so as to reduce the crime rate in Edo State. The new CP was also advised to look into the issues surrounding the recent killings in the state.
Very unfortunate situation. Someone has to pay for it. 😔😔😔

Hello iya Boys
Let there be security in Edo state and all other states in Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteProtect lives and properties.
How many commissioners of police have been sacked in Plateau and Benue states over the continuous killings?
ReplyDeleteMtcheeeeeeewww
Good question.
DeleteNo state of emergency yet ther ooo.
DeleteSokoto and Kebbi are gone to bandits. No SOE declaration.
Good question. What of the killings in other state, the injustice in Nigeria is depressing
DeleteEncourage them for your own to be better. We want our State save, if sacking and replacing will bring positive result, let them continue. Your own house should not burn because other people house are burning.

ReplyDeleteLet the incumbent do a good job pls. The constant killings is bad, broad daylight kidnappings and fear everywhere.

Just curious. Hope they also sacked that of Benue or is it Yobe, I can't exactly remember where the recent killing occurred.
ReplyDeleteAura for aura.
One phone call from her would have stopped the burning.

Meanwhile in Benue State the Headers are killing the innocents people for their farmland and nobody is doing anything about it. Now that election is coming closer the killing is getting worse from politician sponsoring violence in other to create the impression of insecurity. I don`t know why we do not value human life like this.
ReplyDeleteMake I zip my mouth. If I talk wetin dey my mind them go take am north central.
ReplyDeleteNa one person even go make me talk because I bin wan pim too
DeleteThis woman had barely served 3 months before her removal. Hope same is done to other states where Fulani herdsmen massacre innocent people on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteI think they are trying to make a statement, the killings must stop and culprits must be arrested, even it means replacing somebody.
ReplyDeleteInjustice everywhere yet an innocent person has to take the fall.
ReplyDeleteI hope this is not a miscarriage of justice. She did not employ vigilantes who murdered those hunters. Edo has been calm without a riot since this incident. Many other states are consistently troubled by crime without CPs being sacked. At most, they are swapped.
ReplyDeleteThose vigilantes have political cover and residents are also sympathetic towards them because of the many killings and kidnappings by Fulani herdsmen in this particular area. It would take the command time to nab them and bring them to justice. Even the CP in charge of the area Bello Tirji resides in is yet to be sacked.
Plateau State CP, Zamfara and other should follow suit. It unfortunate ma.
