You will drop address for customers to come for pickup themselves or send over people to pickup for them
ReplyDeleteHave your own bike and God fearing rider. Let the commission be attractive.
ReplyDeleteIf you have your delivery vehicle, designate dates for delivery to a particular area. For e.g in Lagos, goods to be delivered to Island axis will be on so so day. And should be during 'off traffic' periods for fuel & time mgt. To Ikeja axis,on a different date and it will cover Opebi, Allen avenue, Ikeja computer village, 7up, Agidingbi, Ogba etc.
ReplyDeleteAlso you can locate nearby pickup points that are reliable to cut down cost. Customers can pick up goods half way it reduces cost for both you & the customer.
If you're using dispatch or uber, make sure to track delivery to ensure they're delivered in one piece, so all your efforts are not in vain.
It's one thing selling and another thing delivery quality service to your customers 👍
If it is interstate, make sure to avoid roadside vehicles at all cost. Make use of reputable transport companies. In the case of a loss/damage of item, accident, misbehaviour from driver etc.... one is likely to get a refund or compensation or at least a proper apology. Trying to reduce cost is also a reason why many business owners use 'along along' which is understandable, but in the end it's better to be safe than sorry.
ReplyDeleteIf within the same state, make sure to have 2-3 dispatch riders that are responsible and trustworthy. This is what I do and I have never regretted it
Have A Trust Worthy Rider,
ReplyDeleteWhen I Finish Buying I Send Immediately if is Within Lagos..
Outside Lagos I have to bring it Home
And Go send The Next Day...
As For The Commission do not Add Too Much cos Some Customer Still Make Equiry From Other Vendors ooo.
Tell Your Customer To Hold Their Phone o, cos Of Incoming Call From The Rider..
Finally Negotiate With The Rider Before Sending Any Goods Out..
Why I Said this Cos I Have A Rider That Works With Red Star Express At The Island .

ReplyDeleteuna get mind o, i can't even think of ordering anything from any individual. There is Jumia. Asides that, i don't think i need it.
ReplyDeleteI'll rather patronize my local vendors and do "in-shop" purchases even when i find you online.
wetin i wan buy sef from lagos way no dey asaba?
Running a business in Lagos is stressful, especially if you have to deliver. Transportation money will now be more expensive than the product itself. You will now be wondering, what's the essence?
