The Bauchi State Police Command has launched a comprehensive investigation into the brutal killing of 20-year-old Hajara Isa by her co-wife in her matrimonial home on February 28, 2025.
The case came to light on March 3, 2025, when Sale Isa of Anguwan Sarakuna, Bauchi, reported the suspicious death to the police.
However, details remain sketchy on what must have led to the incident.
Family members were said to have suspected that Hajara’s co-wife, Fatima Mohammed (28), might be responsible.
A statement by the Spokesman of the Command, CSP Ahmed Wakili, which was made available to journalists on Tuesday, revealed that their findings led to Fatima Mohammed’s arrest.
According to the statement, the suspect allegedly confessed to strangling Hajara Isa before attempting to cover up the crime during interrogation.
She reportedly poured boiling water on the victim and set her body on fire using a melted Bagco sack in an attempt to destroy evidence.
Meanwhile, the police have transferred the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.

ReplyDeleteHello iya Boys
Ndi "polygamy is the best", come and read and digest.
ReplyDeleteNo unaliving in monogamous marriages?
DeleteNa monogamy marriages killings plenty pass sef.
DeleteIf you check them now, they are poor. You are not rich, you went and married more than one wife. Frustration will make them kill each other
ReplyDeleteEven the rich ones no dey see eye to eye. Forget polygamy is not the way
DeleteDo you say stories only spring from poor polygamous families?
DeleteHave you heard from those in polygamous homes of all round wealth?
And you heard only stories of peace because of the wealth?
Are you sure all monogamous marriages are blissful?
None without fuzz, fights, or unaliving of spouses?
The chronicles we read here from spouses in monogamous marriages, are contrived from facts and fictions?
See, so long as mankind lives on earth under mankind’s rulership, there will polygamy in law or in fact.
In countries where polygamy is not allowed legally, it exists in fact as “Baby Mamaism”, “multiple girlfriendism”, with the active participation of the women folk.
That talk show host in the USA who has multiple children from different women. Some of the women have two children born for him, and got pregnant with the second knowing he is with or has been with another woman pregnant for him. What would you call him and his Baby Mamas? Monogamous partners or polygamous partners?
Polygamy on its own or lack of riches in it are not the source of any domestic unaliving. It is evil heartedness.
In polygamy and as in monogamy, an evil person is.
It does not matter whether he is the husband or she is the first or last wife of several or two.
An evil person moves with destruction of different types and manifest in accordance with opportunity or alibis available.
Some married monogamously and swore never to go near any word starting with "M".
Some are married polygamously and can swear they would do it again in their next life and earlier too.
And it is vice versa for some.
Thank you anon 12:26.The moment they hear polygamy, they make it look like polygamy is the root cause of evil in Nigeria.
DeleteAnybody that wants to be wicked would be wicked. It doesn't whether polygamy or monogamy.
