Corps Members Will Start Receving N77K In March
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has assured Corps Members that their monthly allowance will increase to ₦77,000 starting from March 2025..

Reflecting on the past(2000/2001 batch A), I can vividly remember the tumultuous times we experienced during Obasanjo's regime, particularly when our monthly allowance faced delays despite its increase. It was a period marked by uncertainty and anxiety, affecting every corp member who relied on these funds to make ends meet.
ReplyDeleteThe then Senate President, Chuba Okadigbo, we sought assurances that these issues would be addressed, but the bureaucracy often seemed insurmountable. Conversations about politics turned into discussions about survival. What would we do if the delays continued? How long could we stretch our last paycheck? It was a time filled with worry, but also a time that brought many of us closer together, united in our shared challenges.
It's well I can relate.

Imagine I am giving my friend 60k every month and is still not satisfied, raising concerns about exchange rate everyday despite the fact that he is not working for me just giving him so that he could have peace of mind to think on what to do next. I would have to tell him to move on now ,being doing for years.

That NYSC member that ranted is the cause of this, her rant brought their legs out and people dragged them for not paying the 77k they promised to pay since last year.
