 PINKYS CORNER

Charity they say begins at home and not from outside. 

Its so disgusting out there. The relationships, the friendships, the actions, the morals and the parenting method. I find it so absurd when a mother or father tend to indulge his/her child in doing some nasty things.

 Imagine a child of 2/3years begging, instead of the parents correcting him/her, ypu will hear something like "he is still a child". Your boy is hitting your ass as a mother and also doing same to a neighbor but when your neighbor trues to correct him, you will shout at them and even defend such child.

Parents should please do better. Before, we were clamouring for "train the girl child" but now, it has become "train the boy child". The call for giving the girl child an opportunity to go to school led to GPI(Gender Parity Index) but some parents has failed in training up their boy child. 

There are some young boys around my shop.They are 7 in numbers, 5 from different family while two from aame parents. You see them moving all around and some of my neighbors sending them to fetch water thereafter, they will give them #200. Some weeks back, they came to me and begged me to buy them food which i gave #1500 to eat and asked them to see me after eating. They came back and i had to advise them and beg them to go learn skills instead of wasting their lives. I told them that, most of those shop owners who send them on an errand when they are meant to be in school are enemies of progress. I also asked them if they have ever seen those people's children in the morning walking aimlessly like them? And they said no. After our discussion they left. Few minutes after, i heard those people who dey send them message kal those boys and asked them what i told them. Naso dem begin vex for me oo but as Omo lile, i no send. Then on Friday, I went to alaba to buy goods with little money on me, so i wont use it to eat.

I came back on Saturday evening and heard those boys were arrested on Friday evening then i asked for what? Was told they are into robbery. They snatched some phones from some people and also went breaking into some shops at a particular street that is a little far from my house. The oldest boy amidst them is just 12years. I told the person who gave me the info, I said if I was to be the person who arrested them, i will make sure i arrest their parents also for failing to train them up provided they are still alive.

The question now is, those women who send them an errand won't go bailing them ooo but they are angry i advised them not go on an errand for them. You see life now. My people will say "Omolomo lo nse ranise dey torutoru". We shouldn't be too selfish by destroying other people's children.
